Let’s put this in a work context … you make a decision at work and are immediately surrounded by your employees who holla and shout obscenities at you regardless of whether the decision is right or wrong. Wotcha gonna do ? Reality is someone gets sacked. So … why don’t refs have the ability to brandish red cards for things like dissent. It would stop it in its tracks. All this bollocks about “start trialling it in the lower leagues” … stop and take a look at yourselves. People watch football. Kids watch football. People and kids are sheep … they do what their footballing heroes do. They see them behave in a certain way and emulate that behaviour. Fuck lower leagues … start with the Prem and Champo. Red cards for dissent starting Saturday. Now that will change behaviour

VAR coach Phil Bentham is to leave football’s Professional Game Match Officials (PGMOL) to take up the role of Rugby Football League’s new Head of Match Officials.
Bentham will return to the sport in which he refereed for 14 seasons between 2005 and 2018 in the Super League and operated as a match officials coach until March 2021, after which point he joined PGMOL as a VAR coach.
A PGMOL statement said: “Phil will leave with our sincere thanks for his considerable contribution over the past two years and very best wishes for the future.”
That will explain the multitude of ropey handball decisions

I was like pressing buttons on my laptop last week to switch Jota in to my team partly because of double game week then he got crocked.
I hthen forgot all about it and by the time I logged back in to change my team it was already after the cut off
In fairness my wrong team has scored 78 points so far with Captain Haaland in action again tonight so maybe I shoud forget to do FPL more often
