To be fair any player on that sort of wedge will have financial advisers storing a lot of it away for the future. Being a player doesn’t last that long and an injury could bollox it all up.
I don’t waste much time over Barry getting worked up over whether a player is on £50k or £100k week. I feel more for those in the lower leagues barely scraping a living. Money isn’t talking very loudly down there.

All they have to do apparently is wait and see what the highest offer is and then gazump the offer at the last minute. Job done. Money talks apparently ( although it doesn’t talk to me, but then I don’t have any).

I don’t think it’s accurate to be honest.
JWP, Armstrong and Bednarek have recently signed new deals that would almost certainly have increased their wedge.
Also if KWP is only on that then May I suggest we start renegotiating his salary sooner rather than later!
