The day we'll all look back on with fond memories

Is the right wing really becoming more populated? One can get that impression from a social media free for all like Facebook, but I also wonder if it’s a vocal minority, or whether these people are really right wing or just haven’t been offered a decent alternative.

It’s now shocking to watch the debates that occured leading up to the General Election of 2015. All three major parties were lined up behind austerity as if it was a fundamental pillar of the universe. Smaller parties did address it; both Plaid Cymru and the Greens argued against it, but the voting public is savvy enough to know that a few exceptions aside, they’re not going to form a government.

Assuming May contests the election, the Conservatives had draws last time out that they won’t have now. Whatever else Cameron was, he was charismatic in the eyes of the public. He was the one chosen to detoxify the image of the party, and as someone that generally has no time for him or much of his politics, I’ll always admire the way he handled the resolution of the Hillsborough inquiry, even if some of his previous statements on the issue had fallen way short of that high mark.

May is not charismatic. Not at all. The only person with shorter odds for next PM than Corbyn is Boris Johnson. It would be a hell of a gamble to go for a general election with a third Prime Minister in a single Parliament, but Boris would be a star in these debates. I wonder if they’ll roll the dice.

Any title you like @barry-sanchez just make sure it encompasses all religions and all their ills.

If you don’t focus on just one, you won’t look like you have such an obvious agenda and are trying to turn everything into a very selective rant.

What’s the name of this thread again? Has it gone off topic? If so, where has it been taken?

See the problem yet Barry?

A Kurdish Iranian teenager was kicked half to death in Croydon on Friday night. 6 people arrested. Not saying that this down to Brexit, but apparently hate crimes are on the up. Still, as long as we get our country back eh Barry? Let’s hope they turn article 50 day into a public holiday, and the knuckle dragers can use the day to give immigrants a kicking. By the way Barry, do you read these reports and ignore them because as a supporter of “people” you only seem to post about issues with Muslims and migrants?

Bit harsh @fatso i think @pap was just bringing the thread back on topic and that was a coded apology to all those that voted remain. Maybe he’s starting to doubt his previous belief that a bunch of self-serving tories would make the country fairer, once given a free hand to rewrite the laws. :lou_facepalm_2:

Isn’t wanting a place for your own kind racist? And in term forming a Jewish state racist? You need to look up the word demographic timebomd, Negev desert and its peoples and Israel, I’ve been out sorry for the late reply, self righteous bollocks is what you write, not the reality.

Terrible awful and horrible and the people responsible should be locked up for a long time, I can counter by showing ypu lots of alledged assaults by minorities here against women, it cheapens the argument though so lets stick to the issue at hand shall we?

Why do you refer that argument to me? You can’t single out a point and argument and then chastise me for it as well as its makes you a hypocrite, are you a hypodcrite?

I think it reasonable for stateless citizens to aspire to statehood, especially if they’re subject to persecution or discriminatory treatment. I think the way that the zionist movement went about securing and maintaining that statehood, in that place, has been entirely unreasonable.

There are separatist and secessionist movements all over the world, @barry-sanchez . They are usually motivated by people wanting to control their own affairs who believe that the current bodies that rule them do so illegitimately.

You argued quite passionately and sometimes coherently for one of them. It was called Brexit.

So perhaps you’re best placed to answer the question? Were you racist when you wanted to take back control? :lou_facepalm_2:

So you admire the Balkans war?

This thread epitomises all that we will celebrate about the day article 50 was issued. It’s so pleasing to see all the country united as it never has been, looking forward together, as one, to a sunny future.

Im so pleased, I might just hang out the bunting.

A nation based upon a religion and the subjegation of other legimate citizens of the area, fuck me a new low of hypocrisy for Pap. You’ll be telling me Israel is a legimate state next and democratic. The left is the right.

Self determination is not racist you utter buffoon, that has nothing to do with race.

Is this simpleton Sunday.

What is racism, Barry?

How does it differ in essence to your own self-confessed hatred for people following faiths?

Why is it not okay to be racist, but it appears to be okay to have a go at the holy?

I’ve pulled you on your points and you’re either name calling, changing the subject or generalising things as shite.

If the shoe were on the other foot, you’d be entitled to trip me up on it.

I’ve defended you, @barry-sanchez , but by fuck, don’t you make that difficult?

Don’t patronise me Pap, you advocated a state based upon a religion, thats racist regardless of circumstance, so by that you’re advancing a racist cause.

You’ve said self determination is racist which is not only wrong but fucking stupid, you’re not stupid but by fuck with statements like that you make it difficult.

Chorba/Shorba would be appropriate here.

Why not keep things simple with a homemade perfect tomato with a sprinkling of fresh basil
