I have heard the takeover at Southampton is linked/supported to the China economic stategy OBOR. Basically its investments along a 2017 version of the old Silk Road. Southamton is said to be the gateway for London and UK. The cities along the Silk road from China are to get investments authorised/supported by the government. Mainly to do with infra structure for trade.
I dont really know what to make of this but in general I am a bit more hopefull about the apparent lack of monet Gao/Lander has. However on the down side its not an Abranawich type of takeover with the owner sat in the stands. In fact it feels at the moment to be more like a portfolio thing. I could be wrong on that however as his daugheter and joint partner in Lander is closely involved in running a womens football team over there
