And that really was from a “taxi” driver back your way.
The club probably refused to pick up their tab for a taxi from Heathrow.

There is supposed to be a report in the Times (behind a paywall) that the Chinese Group bidding for Palace have backed out.
Now, I know not everyone can be bothered, but the key point is that the Chinese Government changed their rules about investing.
A key issue is withdrawing investment funding (ie LOANS) from the Government for PROPERTY INVESTMENT.
The fan view is our deal was not Property and Lander were loaded (despite some comments to the contrary). But the business model of Mega Developers is to buy a Plot and then sell off plan to make their profit and pay back the original debt funding. (A technique that has high risk for investors some like here get very rich and some like here get very screwed.
Anyway, nobbody is going to bother reading stuff that Lander may have said about Hotels etc but I just reiterate that is two Chinese deals now seemingly going nowhere.
They changed the laws Capital is not available, we may have been very lucky

From the outside it always seemed a bit dodgy. What I dont get is why Kat entertained it. Still, as you say, hopefully it is dead in the water and we can go back to being poor but plucky Saints.

Yep, the money, but apparently she was supposed to be acting in the best interest of the club?
Maybe that is why it has stalled, she was never totally sure of it.
Maybe, like @dubai_phil has alluded to in the past, she was using Lander as a stick to draw out other investors.
