Itās a shame that the fights are now decided on who has got the better TV company rather than who is the better fighterā¦
Just seen that it was 30 years ago today that Big Frank fought Tyson. 30 years! Bloody hell, i feel old.
Went to watch it at Burridge Social Club, as it was on this new fangled satellite TV. British Sky Broadcasting? Whatever happened to them?
After an eveningās beer in Botley, we rocked up about midnight and for our money we were given 6 cans of lager and a ticket to get some sausages and chips later. The signal kept dropping out whilst we watched the undercard, unable to hear the commentary. Frank Bough was introducing the show.
Needless to say, most of our party fell asleep only to be woken up when Bruno threw his first punch. It was after 5 oāclock and about 8 of us were playing football that day. We lost our only game of the season to boot.
AJ TKOāed this morning. āImmediateā rematch to follow.
Lol.
Keeping the Scousers off the top off the sports pages so it was worth it
As @Rust-Cohle will tell you, I predicted an AJ loss.
I also predicted a 3-1 win for Tottenham, mind.
You also said you wanted AJ to ejaculate on your chest.
Shit, wrong bletchā¦
AJ has so much to improve upon but not sure heās got enough time. He was lucky in some ways that heās boxing in an era that allowed him to fight charles Martin to win a world title. Heās also unlucky in that fighting in such a weak HW era he didnāt learn his craft more before fighting for a title.
I was defending his punch resistance with Bletch last night as the punch from klitschko wouldāve koād plenty, but last night/this morn he looked like heād borrowed Amir Khanās chin. He was dreadful in defence, surely he must work on it. It seems his ego ruled his head when he got tagged and he tried to fight back. Thatās what made Nigel Benn amazing and AJ vulnerable.
Class.
Just watched AJ talk on SSN.
Heās handling it well.
Ignoring any previous shit performances from Saints, has there ever been a more depressing day of sports results in a single day?
Wins for Australia, Saracens , Scouse Cunts and now this. Even the fucking Derby was won by a horse called Van Dyck.
Great watching Sky in mourning this morning.
Fury signed to BT and now theyāve lost their Brit champion.
Guess theyāll get a few quid from the re-match.
Just watched fight highlights. What a terrible performance. Blowing out of his arse by round 3 and looked like he couldnāt be arsed at all.
Iāve watched the whole thing. From where Iām sitting, AJ got the sense knocked out of him in round three and didnāt get over it. Wasnāt taking instructions from the corner, even though he asked them at one point what Ruiz was going to do in the next round.
Think the ref did him a huge favour by stopping it when he did.
