Ah no. Millions will miss her. Millions I tell you.

“Although he adds she has hit choppier waters politically, Ms Sturgeon is not at a level where she is a drag on her party.”

Someone at the BBC has a sense of humour.

The National Sturgeonists Party has taken its downfall

Never did like her - too arrogant for my liking, and she has been there too long. Glad she’s gone.
How much damage would have been done if Boris had been in place for ten years?
Look at the damage done to UK by PMs in place for a long time - Thatcher, Blair - the latter also causing untold damage to the Labour Party.

Not a lot of depth in that SNP squad.

Fundamentalist Christian against gay marriage
Fundamentalist Muslim against gay marriage
Mentalist who think she can just declare independence

I think whichever one gets selected, independence is in the long grass - even more so of one of the “our only policy is independence” gets in.

The adventures are getting a wee bit bloody.

Beth Rigby set loose on the SNP hopefuls.

It really is the race to be least hopeless.

Kate Forbes comes across best, Humza looks like a snake oil salesman and Ash Regan is basically their Truss.

SNP. The Next Generation.

And he’s gone…

So Yousaf won

This could be a Gordon Brown - “I’ve won. What the fuck have I won? Oh shit” moment.

Well, they don’t call him Humza Useless for nothing.

Champagne corks popping in Labour HQ right now.

He was talking about pushing up tax further for the “wealthy” which probably means anyone earning over £50k and taking away the charitable status for private schools.

Which got me thinking that these devolved assemblies could act like Westminster useful idiots. Westminster can watch the impact of some of these reforms in real time and decide if they work or not without fucking up England (as much)

I don’t think they can see the wood for the trees.

They’ve been pulled to the left by the Greens due to wanting to use a plus 50% mandate as a failed strategy to get an independence referendum. The Greens have red lines which won’t wash with the Scottish people, such as getting GRR over the line.

Yousef has already said he plans to challenge the GRR decision.

This independence lark was supposed to be once in a generation. If the Nats had held to that, instead of making “we want it now!” their utterly myopic focus, they might actually have the time and space to not only plan for independence, but also convince the Scottish electorate that Scotland can govern well on its own.

The margin of victory is very interesting too especially as rumours are abound that there are 6k more people eligible to vote than exist in the SNP.

Watching the recent interview with Nicola Sturgeon by Beth Rigby. When people say Sturgeon is a great communicator what it really means is that she’s a great liar. Even so, she fails to convince Beth Rigby.

I reckon this is the real reason she resigned am expecting shovel-loads of shit to be heaped on the SNP in the coming days.

What an inbox for Humza Yousef, eh?!
