The 2017 Election Thread

Gambling is illegal down here.

Otherwise I’d add my stake onto my Bar Bill Tab. :lou_sunglasses:

The little old ladies will swing the day, you mark my words.

I don’t like that person… will be the words that remain on canvassers ears rather than I don’t like those policies.

Labour Shadow Treasury Minister pulls out of Today interview…

Is it possible the sums don’t add up? They really do embrace the ‘incompetent’ tag don’t they?

I’m interest in this too p, if you don’t mind. What would it take for you to Give Up on Corbyn? How many seats would Labour have to lose?

Don’t blame me. I’m not the one that set the expectations.

Theresa has it all to lose and it appears she’s doing a pretty good job so far. When the manifesto lands with a thud tomorrow, I expect she’ll lose more ground.

And as balance, Phil Hammond has got the price of HS2 wrong.

I assumed you’d be expecting a win, but not a majority.

Still interested in what would be the final straw for Corbyn BTW.

Getting pap to answer a loaded question is nearly as difficult as getting an Apology. He should be a Politician srs.

Whatever the price is, it’s too fkn much. Build more fkn roads! You should have seen the roads round here yesterday when they closed Spaghetti. It was gridlock 30 miles in every direction. I had hole digging crews sat on a roundabout in fkn coleshill for 4 hours.

If I was a terror bro, bringing down spaghetti junction would be my #1 priority. Do that, and no-one in the midlands will be able to drive anywhere for at least 2 years.

Labour are catching - or are they?

Judging by polls, and polls is shit, a 20 point lead. This would be a 130 seat lead over Labour from a pure stats pov (I think).

Productivity in the Midlands would probably see a spike.

I thought Pap was fully expecting a Labour victory a couple of weeks ago (polls are bollocks and all that…)

Ah, well, he’s in good company with Len McCluskey who also thinks Labour will lose. Looks like everyone who counts now thinks Labour will lose.

General election 2017: Len McCluskey ‘can’t see Labour winning’

I like the way this thread is slowly becoming more and more tense and passive-aggressive as the Big Day approaches.

Len’s entitled to his view.

Not quite sure why the view of one man was the second biggest story on Radio 4 this morning, even if he does lead Unite.

Actually, I am quite sure. Don’t bother writing in.

But… but… but…

You agree with him, don’t you? ::confuzzled::

Will the kids vote?

Might have something to do with him being the large contributor to Labour (via Unite) and one of Corbyns allies.

Or, as you imply, it could just be the biased right wing BBC.

I’m on holiday, so won’t be around for all the (dubious) fun.

It’s because the Unions run the Labour party, and their biggest backer doesn’t have faith in their leader.

Still waiting on an answer by the way?
