The 2017 Election Thread

Sounds like Louis Van Gaal to me…

Policies do take preference over appearance and it’s the Labour Party policies that are going to send it to a crushing defeat. Not because of the horrible media, not the fact Corbyn looks like Steptoe, but because their policies are nuts. That combined with complete and utter incompetence.

And for your information I am a floating voter. I have voted 3 different ways the past 5 elections. My vote is up for grabs, it just won’t be going to the monster raving Labour Party or the Lib/Dumbs. Doesn’t look like UKIP’s standing in my constituency, so I’m pretty limited . The Tory is a bit of a plum and Marty Caine representing The Collective Thinking Party of Britain, is unknown. I don’t even know whether they are a he or a chick. So I’m definitely undecided. Not that it matters, May will smash the rest with or without my vote

Choice of sexual partner would invalidate most tories(if they were honest).

Vote for him. You know you want to.

Which one’s and why?

Is that an official @lord-duckhunter prediction?

If so, get your money on Corbyn, people.

Lord D tried to read tea leaves once and ended up saying “Nescafé, final answer”.

Once again, I propose that Democracy in its current form is dead.

It is corrupt and it simply is wrong.

And yet everything in this article is LEGAL.

(And it is also the single reason why Labour Tax the Rich policies are just bollocks. Not one rich person will notice as there are so many schemes loopholes and gaps it will simply yet again hit the Middle Classes - it has been tried at every opportunity since the days of Wilson and they always have loopholes.)

Long Life Benevolent Dictatorships

I couldn’t give a shit if it invalidates Tories, that’s irrelevant as they aren’t getting my vote either.

I think a number of people are struggling here. Just because I’m criticising Corbyn doesn’t mean that I support the Tories. It just means I think Corbyn is shit.

He’s right though.

So what are you predicting then Pap? We should set up some sort of sweepstake.

The gift that keeps giving surely somebody should have told her the way off the stage. (But the result is nobody gets to read about or remember the “Policies” they just remeber her looking stupid again

By the end of a 40-minute session during which Ms Abbott rattled off her prepared text …

told police officers that they couldn’t catch nasty diseases from people who spit in their faces,

…and then walked the wrong way off the stage, she departed to that most corrosive of audience reactions: ridicule.

Perhaps not correct, though.

Theresa May to be embarrassed. To what extent, we do not yet know.

Politician standing in an election.

Being embarrassed.

That has to be the most odds on gamble ever offered

What is the threshold for her being embarrassed?

And at what threshold should Corbyn give up his position?

I don’t think she’s on for this hundred plus seat majority that has been talked about.

If she succeeds, she’ll be only the second PM in forty years to be elected by the public after being chosen by her MPs. John Major was the last one, and she simply doesn’t have his charm.

Come on you lot, money where your mouth is.

Tories to win by 50

Tories by 74. Corbyn has to go. Labour appoint someone competent, and to win narrowly in 2022.

So are you saying that anything below a 100 seat majority is an embarrassment?

Come on, grow some balls and give us some numbers.

Of course it is, in pretty much the same way as it would be if someone had started a fight with David Haye after Bellew had just finished him off, and just about scraped a win.

She called this election expecting to win handsomely. If she doesn’t, for whatever reason, it’s an embarrassment.

Wow, I think we see embarrassment as something different.

But, if we’re honest, you are setting your stall out like that so that you can continue to support Corbyn if he ends up losing less than 100 seats. I never realised you had such low expectations of your man though?

lol yeah, imagine if May only increased her majority five-fold! What an Embarrassment! There is no way she could show her face in parliament after that. Wouldn’t be surprised if she resigned.

Also, I see you’re still swerving the Corbyn question? What result would make you think “this isn’t working for the Labour party, and all we’re doing is empowering the Tories to do their evil. I can’t support him as leader of the opposition”?
