Been out on the streets of Carlisle this week. 6 hours between 9-3 delivering 1,000 Labour leaflets a day, then out in the evenings with the Carlisle Labour candidate Ruth Alcroft. Just a shame that there is not a little longer! Great to get the pledges across to people on the streets.
Also found out today that the Tory leaflets are delivered by leaflet distribution company. Now I am not sure if this is funded by the tax payer or HSBC, but ALL the labour leaflets are delivered by paid up labour volunteers.
This woman is mental. More evidence that she sees herself as a party of one.
And amid reported tensions with Philip Hammond, her chancellor, the prime minister raised some eyebrows by claiming that the most important Philip in Downing Street was the one who shared her flat in No 10 rather than the political occupant of No 11.

Actually you can’t really understate the importance of door-knocking at this election - I canvassed for the Scottish Green Party in my area for the local elections and spoke to lots of people on the doorstep. Our candidate improved on the previous vote by 91%, which is absolutely huge for the Greens (although not quite enough to get him elected unfortunately).
Having actual conversations face to face with a Labour member about their policies and Corbyn will be a great way to dispel some of the media bullshit and to get the message out there. Good luck y’all!
