The 2017 Election Thread

They say reducing cuts in corporation tax, but they’ll also be chasing big firms that are presently bouncing it to Luxembourg.

It’s also worth remembering that we’re spending more money than we should on the NHS as it is, notably when people leave the nursing profession in the NHS only to re-enter at contractor rates.

Just give them decent terms and conditions in the first place and cut out the bollocks, I say. Mind you, I say that about a lot of public sector work.

Sotonians. Come for the politics. Stay for the homophobia.

I have trouble remembering whether he’s Farron or Fallon, which should give you an indication of my level of interest in the LDs right now.

He’s lying on his stated view yesterday.

Made me wince! Pls don’t give NHS ideas.

barry is gonna jump on you now, that Liberal bro can’t be lying, because lying is against his doctrine or whatever. It’s a fkn paradox.

More people than care to admit agree with me, they just don’t want rabid well meaning but ignorant bellends on their case.

Good to hear, but what about all the other public sector workers who have also had to put up with the pay freeze? Many Government agencies are on their knees due to the cuts over the last few years. Many people are having to work longer hours and under a great deal more stress as staff numbers have been cut, but have seen their pay levels frozen too.

Dumb Bear. There obviously can’t be a Mrs God as he rested on the 7th day. If he had a Mrs she would have had him doing odd jobs round the house or jet washing the patio.

Rainbows. He made Rainbows - that is all the proof you need.

All religious communities should have a light shone on then for this, and mp’s Sarah Teather for example, a liberal who voted against equal marriage rights she says on religious grounds, thats codshit and aful enough but I think she is calculating the fact in shes is the mp in Brent.

Saying that, he did derrrick Mary.

Farron said last night that the last thing we needed was politicians preaching about sin and I think he has handled the questions fired at him about his opinions about Gays fairly. If the Lib Dems were going to adopt anti Gay policies then it is an issue, but they clearly arent going to. Corbyn himself talks of clean politics and debating the issues rather than making things personal but already the waters are being clouded.

Bearing in mind the bloke is a total fuckwit with a record so bad it wouldn’t even make the Black Lace Greatest Hits double album, would anyone care to explain why they will be voting for Jeremy Hunt’s plans for the NHS?

You are assuming that one he retains his seat and two that May doesn’t reshuffle him

I suspect that he was only left in place last time as he was a useful lightning conductor for the doctors strikes

She will have to “reshuffle” him now then, because as it stands I assume the Tories plans for the NHS remain the same?

Aye, but at least we get 1% every year, when I was in the private sector I didn’t get a pay rise for 4 years!! Directors did though, fancy that!!

She did say he never touched her and she was a virgin TBH.

Thats what she told Joseph - the gullible twat.

Because it is hard work having to listen to the troops whinging about no payrises and managing down their expectations

We had a four year pay freeze at the CPS. It didnt help that the basic pay levels were already crap. The one saving grace was a decent civil service pension at the end, but that got changed too so not so good now.

Jezza has decided not to take part in the leader’s debate.

The Krankie is spitting feathers because the BBC / ITV are unlikely to run the debates for the minor parties alone.

Me thinks Jezza has just let Theresa off a hook there.
