The decline of the SP is more down to almost all of France disapproving of Hollande; any leader who’s got a 7% approval rating by the time they come up for re-election is giving their successor (Hamon) an impossible job to do
omg what if they was right??? Has Corbyn overlook this? I guess we will Find Out on 8th June rip!
I guess we’ll see.
One thing we won’t have to wait for is debunking Theresa and the Conservatives as "“strong” and “stable”.
First off, let’s handle “strong”. May, by her own admission, is calling this election because she cannot handle opposing views, not least when manifested in the shape of opposition parties. The more cynical pundits, myself included, reckon she believes the Labour Party is as crap as its press (an impossibility, imo).
A politician’s strength is largely defined by how well the individual communicates his or her ideas. May’s explanation for calling the referendum suggests at the very least, that she is unable to do that, either unable to conjure the rhetoric or conciliation that would allow her to sort Brexit under the current setup.
Now I don’t think the Labour Party are as far apart as polls suggest, but she does. Is it strong to start a fight with someone you perceive as weak? That’s the behaviour of a schoolyard bully, isn’t it?
Thing is, sometimes these “weaklings” hit back. Let’s see how strong Theresa is after six weeks of campaigning, especially if Tory senior advisors keep resigning at the rate they have (since the election, she’s lost her comms team and press office, Hammond has also lost a senior advisor). What do they know that we don’t?
They’re both playing to type. May wants to be the strong, stable, conformist, and Corbyn is pushing the radical renegade angle. I can’t see it to corbyn advantage tho. It’s what his Momentum powerbase want to hear, but I can’t see middle england voting on it. I think ur entire reading of political landscape is off base tbh, maybe ur too close on it, and the schoolyard bully analogy is bit laughable, but I kind of hope I’m wrong. I like that he is offer something Different, and if labour is stick to their guns, maybe in 20 or 30 yrs, the country as a whole might be up for Revolution srs.
Here is my Election predictions, this is based on Word On Street:
Conservatives will Gain Seats
Labour will Lose Seats
It will be quite Low Turnout, and consequently Gains & Losses won’t be as drama as you Might Think.
Get Bearsy! Topical and political. He’s taking his (potential?) role on the Sotonians Soviet very seriously!
I’ve just watched a bear eat a man on twitter.
link pls
Whoa. What won’t Bear do to get a place on the Soviet? And by ‘a man’ do you mean ‘The Man’?
Just follow akerlink on twitter. I will let you decide if it’s suitable to link here. I vote no
I vote no and I also vote that people don’t follow akerlink I feel faintly nauseous
I’ve submitted a fair bit of footage to them but had nothing published as yet.
They do keep sending me useful feedback though. I presume they have their own rating system as so far they have rated my efforts from ‘fucking disturbing’, through ‘sick and demented’ to ‘absolutely horrific and depraved’.
I think they may be getting ready to make me a substantial offer though as my last contribution has been ‘passed to the legal team’.
Fame beckons!
Question and hammer such an embarrassing view, should do it to everyone who thinks like that, to think this is supposed to be the enlightened liberal! Religion shouldn’t be anywhere near politics.
I’m not with you b, that link is a bro saying gay sex is not a sin. what is wrong with that? Do you want him to say that gay sex is a sin? I did wonder myself if maybe the sin aspect is Half The Fun, like i.e. with anal in general, but I don’t think it would be gd idea for him to go round saying things like that srs.
He either believes it or he doesn’t? He is saying that and going against doctrine for votes.
oh whatever i don’t want open all that can of arse again soz
In other news I just read this quote and I am mos-def a massive Corbyn supporter now!
“I would say to President Trump, listen, it’s in nobody’s interest for this war to continue, let’s get the Geneva process going quickly and in the meantime no more strikes, have the UN investigation into the war crime of the use of chemical weapons in Syria and take it on from there.”
Corbyn NEEDS to be given the opportunity to do this! Fkn Corbyn rock up at White House, kick door in, and be like, “Listen, it’s in nobody’s interest for this war to continue, let’s get the Geneva process going and in the meantime no more strikes…” I would fkn LOVE to see trump face if this happens! Vote LABOUR!
How did you miss this one? It was all over Twitter, momentum, Jeremy Corbyn for PM last night and this morning.
Get over it Bazza…he doesn’t think it’s a sin. What is it you don’t understand…it seems to be plain English.
