Much bigger majority than expected. Speculation that Hillary Benn’s late speech swung a lot of votes, but who knows?

:lou_facepalm_2:

Awful.

Why are fucking politicians so fucking eager to rush off to war? Do they not ever learn?

This isn’t going to end well.

Unhappy.

Not comfortable about this approach.

History suggests it will fail, we will kill civilians, and British servicemen and women will die.

I honestly hope I’m wrong and we reduce the terrorist threat but experience suggests the complete opposite.

Come on, I don’t like the decision, but don’t trot out Diane Abbott to defend the view FFS.

I walked past the Southampton War Memorial early tonight on the way to the Rockstone. I thought about those that have died in wars that had a ratified and responsible plan for war. I feel this decision will just add to those servicemen that have died, but without a thought out, and legal plan to down Daesh.

My old MP.

His Dad would be fucking ashamed of him.

ā€œAll war represents a failure of diplomacy. I opposed the Suez war, I opposed the Falklands war. I opposed the Libyan bombing and I opposed the Gulf war, and I never believed that any of those principled arguments lost a single vote - indeed, I think they gained support, though that was not why you did it.ā€

Again you got it spot on, and kill a load of innocent Syrians who didn’t flee and Isis are using in Hospitals, schools.

Whilst moronic cunts complain that refugees are fleeing Syria.

ā€œOh look, there’s men running awayā€

No fucking shit Sherlock. You’ve got crazed terrorists one side, a narcisstic Dictator that will drop chemical weapons on you, oh and foreign governments dropping bombs on you.

But them men trying to leave, they’ve got iPhones. They can’t be refugees.

Cunts, the lots 'em.

(sorry, I’m really fucking angry about this)

Maybe with his description of Daesh as fascists he’s making a linkage with his father’s RAF service against Nazi Germany in WWII

We aren’t exactly at World War stage (yet), are we?

But, I spose we can just ignore everything Tony said in his entire political life I guess.

Whatever your political feelings or beliefs, no point getting angry here. It’s a local saints footy based spin off.

Actually no point in getting angry at all, unless you can actually affect foreign policy?

You’re probably right Ted (I’m at pains to clarify I’m not angry at you btw, that post previously was not directed your way).

But, the killing of civilians and death of servicemen & women in my name when it will only serve to exacerbate the issues at hand makes me very angry.

It’s pointless yes, but when we stop caring, we are in deep trouble.

Hey KRG, don’t feel angry it’s not in your name it’s Middle East politics

You shouldn’t care unless you can affect things
