S3 Jack Ryan has dropped.
They must have read my review of the start of S2 being “sluggish”.
The whole context/background thing is done in minutes and boom we are off.
THIS is Jack Ryan shit.
Cerebral Bourne Identity stuff.
Rome, Sebastapol, Prague & Greek Islands and then Athens
Just what the Doctor ordered
(Prime Video UK)
Watched the movie “Glass Onion” on Netflix this afternoon. Daniel Craig, Edward Norton and Janelle Monae. Good fun Agatha Christie type who done it. Janelle was surprisingly good in it.
Had to search out favourite Janelle video to show Lady Slowlane who she is…
You seen the 1st one?
Knives Out?
Not yet.
Yep I watched it last night. Took a little while to get going IMHO but thought it was very good.
Not quite the all star cast of the first film but still a worthy sequel
Mrs P_F didn’t feel it, so switched to Violent Night.
Again. For me even worse/wrong better 2nd time.
Mrs P_F has a sore forehead.
From all the times she’s facepalmed.
Back in the day Tom Clancy wrote some huge books. Like 1000 pages of gripping, if shallow Cold War type spy stories, his best, The Hunt for Red October.
The films were decent entertainment not so much the modern Chris Pine reboot.
I had high Hope’s for the TV Show.
Tbh S1 tried to be up to date and stayed form Russia/Cartels into the Middle East.
It was OK.
S2 I mentioned started slow but got good but focused on Central American politics.
S3 is a complete throwback. And so much better for it.
Kremlin cabals, secret plots to restore the Soviet Union, some Central European politics and a Nuke.
It isn’t Smileys People that’s for sure, but it finally feels like a Tom Clancy story. Page turning, action packed and hovering on the borders of believability.
Excellent TV
Eh?
You cant speak Polish?
SRSLY?
Bloody Vodka
Did catch a bad plot hole in it.
Got excited for a moment that my current favourite show had some bits filmed here!
But no. Fvck off Prime Video.
This is Prague you dicks

The Bear.
On Hulu in US. No idea what it’s in UK
Binged the 8 x 30 minutes episodes in one hit from a (coughs) website.
Good characters. Good writing. Good food.
Triple Frontier on Netflix, Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Pedro Pascal et al, mercenaries go after drug cartel. Good action flick.
It’s on Disney Pluis over here. Most Hulu stuff is.
Still separate in the US though.
Glad I stuck with this, the first couple of episodes were hard to get through with all the shouting though.
OMG.
So, after all the abuse I might have actually been cool back in the 70’s?
This just dropped on Paramount + - a 3 part Documentary about?
Soft Rock. I mean it has everyone in it, and if I had a criticism, the clips are WAY too short but total Goosebump stuff - Carpenters to Bowie Manilow to Black Sabbath. All in there.
My back up provider needed sub titles to cover some voice over gaps but I loved it
And Next Ep to drop covers the Death of Soft Rock - ie the Punk Explosion and Ep 3 sounds a bit
Wait.
WHAT?
Hey Phil. Do you miss the UK?
Well.
I’m currently watching a ball of wool in a sing off against a Jellyfish…
No.
Nope. Had no idea who Ghost was.
But respect to him
