Saw today’s Better Caul Saul. Appreciate it so won’t go into major spoilers, but I will say that I was surprised at how it went and haven’t got much of a scooby as to how the final episodes will go down.
FFS, I am writing a review using the spoiler function for Slowpoke @Cobham-Saint. Better Call Saul, for those who’ve seen it.
For a show that used to get stick for being slow-paced, the final season of Better Call Saul just doesn’t let up. Last week, @lifeintheslowlane mentioned that there was but one big question to resolve. For this part of the timeline at least, it has been resolved.
Kim leaves Jimmy because she knows they’re bad for each other. I actually think that’s a bit unfair on Jimmy, as the catalyst for Kim’s departure was Howard’s death at the hands of Lalo.
Jimmy tried to talk her out of it multiple times, would never have gone through with it if he’d known Lalo was still about, so I think she bears more of the final responsibility than he does. And I think deep down, she knows that too.
Last scene of this episode was the complete shift from Jimmy to Saul, abruptly taking us from that devastating break up. He’s now been dropped by the only person that ever got him, because she didn’t bother listening to him.
