You’re making this shit up, aren’t you.
Seriously?
…No.
Give it a watch
I’m about 4 episodes into S1
It isn’t shit
It gets better as it goes along.
I’ve been catching up with this. Interesting themes this year. The Boys having to become the Supes they hate, at least temporarily, and loving it. Homelander is as deliciously evil as always, which merits the “Get Homelander” approach everyone is taking.
There is a lot of claret in The Boys.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned Philip K Dick’s Electric Dreams S.1 on Prime
individual episodes based on his short stories - books were hard going but seem to work well on TV.
Only 2 episodes in out of 10. Looking forward to the rest
I vaguely remember watching it when it was originally on channel 4, might have to revisit it. Total recall was based on one of his short stories, fair to say when they made the film (the proper one with Arnie) they wisely chose to avoid the ending that included invading alien space mice with a magic invisibility wand or some shit.
You mean the ones who set up the Earth as a giant supercomputer to find out the answer to Life, The Universe and Everything?
No these were different space mice.
As was Blade Runner (Do Androids Dream of Electronic Sheep)
Which led to The Orville S3 Ep1
That book was not a short story, it was an absolute grind and very boring from what I remember. Philip K. Dick was a flawed visionary, had some great foresight/concepts but overall I found his writing to be quite boring. I’ve liked a few of the adaptations of his work, bladerunner, total recall (proper Arnie version), minority report, a scanner darkly, wasn’t a huge fan of adjustment bureau (magic transporting hats ).
It’s weird on Prime it’s showing as an Amazon Original. Bit of digging and it seems it premiered in the UK on Channel 4 but on Amazon in the US.
The Chinese government censored this film.
Re-titled as “Brade Runner”.
Bletch is never coming back.
Final half of Better Call Saul kicks off in the UK tomorrow, with episodes dropping weekly.
This is a good read:
Yep of course the BIG QUESTION was always going to be…
Can I offer a shorter explanation?
They’d done this sort of thing before, were very good at it then, and got better
