That’s why I think it’s such a creative risk. They’ve gone balls out to do something at great variance with what has come before. Olson and Bettany are excellent, and I say that grudgingly because Bettany is married to Jennifer Connolly and I am very jealous

The acid test will be getting Mrs P_F to watch it

I’m prepared to say it’s good without her blessing.

I understand you have local bollocks to protect though, so carry on.

Having only seen 1 Ep I can only say.
Different has potential.
I can also guess I’m gonna enjoy it

What are the waiting for ? The apocalypse? It’s here for fuck’s sake. Get on with it

I watched the first two episodes of the Scandinavian detective drama The Investigation on BBC 2 last night, very good. Also been watching the French one, Spiral, which continues tonight on BBC 4, again very good.

Lupin has gripped the village, all of the locals love it.

Really enjoyed The Serpent on BBC.

Makes me wonder how I managed to get through 10 months travelling on my own in South America when I’d head of with some random guys for a weekend in the Amazonian rain forest or a night out in Rio. I have some cracking tales and still alive.

Just done The Last Act of Vikings- Marvellous series. Not for the faint hearted blood and gore-wise.

Another one Mrs C_S hated with a vengeance

As I said, Marvellous :+1:

Series 2 of Bonding has landed on Netflix- inoffensive dominatrix-led comedy.

Worth a watch.

I have a Lockdown streaming recommendation
The MCU Films in order of release.

Just finished last night after over 2 months.

For us more mortals, it was a while before we achieved freedom & realised they had a continuous story. Knowing that story (or Easter Eggs in geek) made the whole so much better.

I really enjoyed it, even the films I thought were shit (weaker in geek) held up in context. (Well maybe apart from Jeff Bridges).

There are several months to go. You can even split some of the films into 2 or 3 evenings.

Quite a project. Glad I did it.

Now. Back to The Blacklist, which, even in S7 still keeps the story & secrets going - another good watch.

What will replace the MCU binge? Snowpiercer many tell me that gets really good in S2 IF you can get that far without going WHY?

I’ve not seen the series but the film was awful…

Did you start with The Incredible Sulk?

Edward Norton’s hulk.

Yep awful

Yep hence my reluctance with the TV show.
But, I have been assured it is worth continuing by a Raised by Wolves & The Expanse fan

It’s not that bad. I hear that for once, Norton was actually up for this film. I certainly think it’s a more coherent and faithful film than the Ang Lee version.

I hope they do a new standalone Hulk film. The Norton film planted an interesting seed at the end, plus Ruffalo is really good in the role and they’ve already taken the character further down his arc than he’s been before.

Never really go out of the ragey phase in much else.

Watching Black Mirror, it really is very good and very scary.

Anthony Mackie is a decent actor outside of the MCU.
