Apparently the episodes were partly built around the songs chosen.

Couple of average bottles of wine, a steak & The Heart of the Sea.
Another Ripping Yarn starring Thor. Sorry Chris Hemsworth
Brutal in our enlightened times being about Whaling.
No spoilers but it is the true story of The Essex, a Nantucket Whaler which inspired Moby Dick.
Excellent

My word, Millie Bobby Brown is going to be special when she grows up.

She came to light/stole the show in Stranger Things.

She popped up this week in Enola Holmes. And steals the show.

A gently clever Sherlock twist, featuring Henry Cavill as Benedict Cumberbatch, and Mycroft being himself.

A really enjoyable story to share with the other half for a couple of hours.

Good fun old style stuff

Got as far as just after the whale sank the ship and had to give up - Chris Hemsworth sounded so like Ace Rimmer from Red Dwarf that it lost all credibility- It was quite good up to them tbh.

Considering it was a true story, what happened after that was kind of epic.

Sit Mrs CS down with Enola Holmes.
It was enjoyable fun

I was a great fan of Count Arthur Strong on R4 and came lateish to the tv version.

Just watched the first episode of S1 on Netflix, which I never saw - as as starter episode it beats the pants off most “getting to know you” episodes.

Mrs C_S hates it with a vengeance :grinning::+1:

Spent a happy 2 hours on both your recommendation last night accompanied by a Ghost Ship or 3 … :beers:

I agree with you both … Good movie, Thor got right on my beak but it combined to a really good movie.

Top recommendation. SCD

I’ve been watching Wayne, a YouTube original. I don’t want to spoil it too much, because it’s better going in cold, but I’m really enjoying it.

There isn’t a character I don’t enjoy spending time with, and I’m laughing my arse off throughout.

Also, last night’s episode of The Boys was fantastic. A nipper who works with me has read the comics, so I was already spoiled on Stormfront’s origins.

That wasn’t even the best bit. Three of the team infiltrate a containment facility for Supes. It’s bedlam, and it’s not over.

Enjoying this season more than the first. A lot of brilliant set pieces, action packed and amusing in equal measure. Anything involving The Deep ends up fucking hilarious.

I can echo those sentiments, after falling asleep watching Friday’s epsiode last night (a few beers may have been supped) I have watched it again…enjoyed very much.

The Supe with the extending dick made me laugh out loud and shudder at that same time…

I will also recommend The Gentlemen. It’s a Guy Ritchie gangster flick so you know what you’re in for.

I happen to really like Guy Ritchie’s gangster flicks. It’s only really his Sherlock Holmes movies I don’t like, and that’s just because Downey Jr is hopelessly wrong for the role, just as I would be. Sherlock is not a fucking short-arse, let alone American.

In this one, you’ve got Matthew McConaghy and Charlie Puttnam (Sons of Anarchy) as the leads, with an almost unrecognisable Hugh Grant in the role of unreliable narrator and blackmailer.

It also features a fucking excellent performance from Colin Farrell. I think it might be the best thing I’ve seen him do.

I really enjoyed it too. Hugh Grant was really good I thought, in a part that was the complete opposite of his usual roles. He surprised me, reminded me a bit of Michael Caine. I really like Richie’s Rock n Rolla, it got ignored by the critics but I loved it. Genuinely funny with a top performance from Tom Wilkinson.

Hugh Grant was so decent that with my bad eyesight, I kept thinking “when’s Hugh Grant joining in?”. He’s in the first fucking scene. @SO5-4BW and @Fowllyd can tell their school mate Firth do up his game

Since you’ve gone on about him a bit, I’ll take the Farrell end.

I love him in this sort of backseat character actor role. He’s not on screen as much, but steals every scene he’s in. I forgot that he was Colin Farrell pretty early on. His character was something of a trope; older bloke wise in the ways of the world shepherding a bunch of lovable fucking idiots. He elevated that a fair bit.

Overall, a very enjoyable movie that demands a rewatch.

The Ozark has been pretty excellent. As others have said, adjusting to Jason Bateman in a straight role is interesting but there’s lots of intrigue and swerving going on.

Looking forward to the 2nd season…

2nd season of Ozark.
Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Isn’t that already out?

Yes I’m on season 2. Going well.

Yeah turned to treacle mid season.
S3 has rave reviews just cant get there.

It’s worse than 1st 5 Umbrella Academy to get through but the rewards are there.

Will go back to it one day when really bored!
