Big patch lands tomorrow. It’s free, so no need to pay for DLC. Tatooine survival map is opened up for other modes. Huge nerfs to star cards. Either increased cooldown timers or reduced active time for stuff like explosive shot.
The DL44 and Bowcaster are also getting nerfed.
That Bowcaster is a fucking beast, it well does my head in.
Yeah, the standard trick is for someone to jetpack it over your head and unload five bolts on you. I’ve not unlocked it myself yet, although I’ve managed to play it via partner cards.
My new strategy is helping my kill to death ratio. It is very simple to explain.
Equip DL-44, still a powerful short to medium range weapon.

Double points weekend which means I’m now one step away level 50 and the black stormtrooper outfit.
Played this quite a bit yesterday with the double points thing. Managed to get to level 32, which is the level at which you can buy the (nerfed) bowcaster.
I’m pretty handy at Fighter Squadron, which is all about waiting really. Racked up some decent scores by locking onto faraway targets, but they go down much easier if you turn up behind them without warning.
Still alternating between the T21B and the DL-44 for on-foot stuff.
By far the most disappointing thing is flying like a bird in Fighter Squadron yet being completely ineffective in craft during stuff like Walker Assault.
