The consensus over at Metacritic is that this is good, but there isn’t enough of it. Four planets, sixteen maps. Metacritic score of 73.
You feel its all going to be dlc, I’m trying to get to grips with Fallout, this is truly an epic game and the dlc will be amazing.
All about the mutliplayer this game not sure what lack of maps has to do with it. If we’re all running around shooting each other anyway 16 maps seems plenty.
On top of that, I couldn’t give a shit as long as I’m living out a 35 year old dream of shooting stormtroopers in a landscape that looks and sounds like the original films. Which I will be and it does. Looking forward to the weekend.

Some reviews have treated the lack of content cynically. As with the other Battlefront, the engine is already there. A lot of money for a reskin.
True but I need a multiplayer in my life and for nostalgia alone this is worth it - and I won’t be investing in CoD for the foreseeable.

I’ve been playing this on PC on and off since getting it on Christmas day for 30 quid. I’m not normally someone that is either very good or very committed at this sort of game, but I’ve got my multiplayer level up to 16, am slowly learning the maps and which weapons to use on them.
I tend to use the long range cannon thingy on big maps, or those where you’ve got a big open space in one part of it. If you know where people are likely to emerge from, then a speculative shot into a doorway can be quite effective. The other weapons depend a lot on the mode I’m playing. I like the shock gun for any mode where you need to defend something.
I’m not really that impressed with the vehicle side of things though. No support for joysticks on the PC, which is crap as the Battlefield series always seems to manage it. Overall, love it for thirty notes. Might be feeling peeved if I’d paid more than that.
You’ll have to shell out double that for the dlc, great game and I am playing it quite a lot but quite samey.
T21 B ( long range scoped cannon) for Hoth and Jakku , d44 for Endor and most close maps.
Best all round is the high rof low impact blaster hose that I think is the 3rd one you unlock, really quick cool down on that.

Rebel Scum - Same blasters but with Ion, Shield and Homing.

I really am shit at these games. However, I am becoming familiar with the maps now, which helps a lot.
I’m usually pretty decent. Better at attacking than defending but I’ve just proven to utterly wank in the last few games. Turned it off in disgust at myself.
I still rock at Fighter Squadron though. Unfuckingtouchable.
This has been my go-to game since Christmas, the only thing I have played with any regularity. As I’ve said before, I’m not fantastic at these games, but am becoming very familiar with the maps and have just hit level 21, meaning I’ve just got the 21B scoped rifle.
The jetpack has helped me get a better K/D ratio, particularly with the longer range weapons. I run with that on large levels, but tend to go with an EE3 otherwise. Both are handy at long range, but the burstiness of the EE3 means it is better for close up stuff.
Just broke a K/D of 1.00. That makes me happy. Now Level 41.
The T21B is the shit on all Supremacy maps (with the exception of Endor)
Its needs more variety, do you guys only play Walker assault or last stand? The others are weak after a while, Endor is a balls up in my humble as you can’t sight up or dont have time to, Hoth and Sullust are the best maps, need far more dlc and weapons.
