This is a good old gumbo. They’re pitting various bits of excellent Trek into the mix. Changelings really are a DS9 thing, but I have zero problem with them being used here.

Done much better in Aliens.

However, it was a very good episode which through the starship museum, showed veneration for old Trek that has been sorely missing from recent series.
