Southampton vs Aston Villa - Capital One Cup thread

I am not one of Yoshi’s biggest fans and my heart always sinks when I see his name on the team sheet, but I cant fault his commitment and he took his goal very well. But play your strongest team against Liverpool please Ron. Not only would a final be awesome, but to get there by knocking out our reserve team would be the cherry on the cake.

Now, we have some classless managers in the Premiership - Jose clearly being one. Van Gaal is another. So Boro were lucky to win? From the highlights I saw it was an open game and they had chances to score. They deserved going to pens and frankly if you miss 3 penalties you do not deserve to win. You lost fair and square so take it on the chin and give your opponents some credit. Tosser.

He is my summing up!

First half, might as well have stayed at Fleet for some more KFC.

Second half was much better, but not a great game, but we won.

Do not think I will do another 10 hour round trip for a mid week game in a hurry, but thought I would do something nuts as it is half term.

On to the quarters we go!

Can we take it all the way? If this was the JPT we would have already won the area and be in the final! Wembley, Wembley!

See that Middlesbourgh badge, we’ll go to the west side… That’s my house! :lou_smiley:

I’ve watched that Pelle goal a couple of times now. I love it. Just so surgical, like he and Tadic were trying to solve a puzzle. Nice solution.

Football made easy. But far from it.
