As often quoted, football is a funny old game. They were all over us last time and we won 1-0. We matched them well this time and we lose 1-0. They had chances to wrap it up which they fluffed. A draw would not have been unreasonable.
I thought Theo up front for Danny and Redmond or Armstrong in his place. Tella ran a lot but apart from two dangerous balls into the box gave us little up front. Vest was my MotM again. What a player he has turned out to be. Walcott brings a bundle of experience and energy. KWP is an absolute bargain. Redders and Bertie not at the races today. To win these games we need everyone firing. A worthy performance given that we had two green academy players up top at the end.
Agree with Barry that we needed more urgency in the last 10. You can up the tempo without hoofing the ball aimlessly up front. Better to lose 2-0 throwing caution to the wind in going for a point.
According to the latest rules the handball wasn’t a pen because it deflected off Stirling’s thigh into his hand. As for the high kick, I have seen them given.
Oh well, Fulham next. 3 points please.

Hardest thing for us to do this season will be to pick player of the year. So impressed with this team and the work ethic, long live King Ralph :lou_lol:

Agreed although at the moment I would probably give it to Vest. The way he has turned his form around has been phenomenal.

FFS…call yourself a Football Forum. :lou_facepalm_2:

I can’t stand all this forum bonhomie , where’s the anger, where’s vicious rhetoric, where’s the unreasoned scapegoating. Be reasonable I’ve even caught myself liking Bazza posts.

THIS HAS TO STOP. :rage:
