Had a few of these printed, A3 size…very good quality prints on 300gsm Conqueror paper.
I have 3 left…£5 each to regulars…£10 to passing trade. Message me here if you want one.

I can have more printed quickly if the demand is there.

The three I had left have now been taken but if others want a picture I’ll order more when I have another 5 orders.

Donation made (& the one I promised for not buying @SimplySaint ā€˜s old jacket, which I completely forgot to do)

I can let you have the brown suit I wore in that picture in 1937…I still have it in the wardrobe somewhere. :lou_lol:

Did a little searching for the original b&w image and found out it was a photograph by Dutchman Willem Van De Poll

Do you know the date for the Bargate photo?

I was going to ask that too.

Initially I thought 1937-ish but the picture shows just the east side has a road around it.

The east side road was built in 1932 but the west side wasn’t cleared until 1937 so the picture can be dated between 1932 and 1937…ergo circa 1935.

That ain’t gonna be the caption in the frame….

Maybe a scribble on the back

I’ll do a search through the online records for Willem Van De Poll to see when he was active in the UK. Maybe we can narrow the date span down a little.

Ah, I wondered why you were banging on about him. Thought you’d absentmindedly forgot to post the picture of the day :joy:
