The replay shows a massive shove from Lukaku on Hoedt before the cross came in for him to score.
Hoedt, who was probably holding Lukaku - hence the shove, is sent flying and as he struggled to get back into position, Lukaku had slipped into space and Hoedt stumbled trying to get tight again.
To my eye, Lukaku fouled Hoedt in the build-up.

Fellani really did make a meal of it that’s for sure. Redmond really poor again. United have 4 or 5 players on the pitch who score goals regularly, we have none. Long playing as a lone striker makes no sense to me, he is not a goal scorer, quick enough but gets caught offside too often, twice in that half. Both of our recognized strikers sitting on their arses on the bench, relying on goals from players who might get one every dozen games. I think Yoshi scored more than Long last season. Gabbi and Charlie could be excused for feeling pissed off. The bottom line is, we wont win many games playing without a recognized striker. Nine home games out of the last eleven without scoring says it all.
It’d be nice if we just had a bit of threat.
