Not a family or personal milestone, but this morning is the first ship I’ve been on since Covid where no masks are in use. Passengers have been given the option for some months now, but up til today all the cruise ship staff and crew have been wearing them. Not a mask in sight today on the Balmoral (Fred Olsen.)

So, tomorrow brings big changes to the Fam C_S household

YoungAdult#2 is off to Sussex Uni to do MSc in Particle Physics

YoungAdult#1 still studying for Phd but fed up with the time and cost of travel up to/from town to Uni. Off to get the key and drop off some of her stuff in shared house up in Battersea. Finally moving out. Will be fully out by the end of next week.

We’re under orders not to change their rooms / bring in lodgers….

I’ll now also have to talk to Mrs C_S.

So this isn’t birthday related but to me, this is a Bucket List level milestone in my life!!

This week my band, Trick Shot, is having our debut single, ‘We got the night’ spun on Emma Scott’s Pluggin’ Baby Radio Show!

Wowsers! I remember reading her book “Break you Band” 10 years ago and saying to myself, “One day Davo” and that day has come!!

So never give up on your dreams, the Universe works in strange and mysterious ways!!

The shame of it is that I think they do great work.

Tonight’s episode, all about protestors getting nicked at the coronation, is superbly fronted.

They’ve recently gone five nights a week though, and the new faces just sound like Michael Walker reading a script badly.
