Social Integration is not happening

I think this video sums up social integration very well. Its not about a uniform culture or beliefs (although natural social evolution over time will see a homogenization of culture anyway), but ist about what we have in common rather than what we dont. Yes there will be difficult discussion where cultures and beliefs go against local laws and what is accepeted as part of community and society, but there is nothing bad about having difficult discussions, the key is not to shy away from them… No, social integration is about refusing to let extremists and criminals who fly under any banner religeous or culturual dictate the agenda and cause friction, suspicion, and distrust…the stuff that eventually leads to the breakdown of community, and hate and worse.

This video shows that whilst cultyure can be very different, there is a fundemental humanity that transcends this - and can, if we are open to it, bring us closer. Compassion, love, etc are values we can all share and focus on. If we do that it brings everyone to the table to have those more difficult discussions with mutual respect and trust.

I am not ignoring your questions Trampoline, but, apart from Areola making points I would have made, I am about to go out to meet my wife for a Chinese meal. Something I think you agree is a better use of time.

Foreign muck.

But tbf it’s the British version of Chinese food. Had the Portuguese version a while back and it was shite…

Sorry got sidetracked by Goat’s post.

Meant to say that I tend not to read the bloody over-long posts.

If you can’t say it in 140 characters or so then don’t

Indeed, if you can’t get your important message across in a simple sentence then you may well have to accept that a significant number of people, many of whom have quite short attention spans or are easily bored by what initially looks like a wall of words jumbled together to achieve little more than blur any possible meaning and disguise any significant point that you were initially intending to demonstrate, might find the time required to plough through such sentences as a step too far in what has become for many of us, a busy world.

Western acceptance of compassion, its great and to be applauded, would it be reciprocated in a Muslim nation by a vicar consoling the victim?
Tolerance and acceptance work both ways.

You say this as you think it wouldn’t . Why is that?

Is the Muslim faith in Muslim nations tolerant towards other faiths and other faiths hostile actions?

That is all I am saying.

Or they’ve swallowed a copy of the daily fail or something and are shitting bollocks in an attempt to justify…actually just shitting bollocks will do

My comment to @rallyboy post above is a good response to this I think. You’re making a judgment on what you feel or more likelywhat you want to be true rather than backed up by verifiable fact

So before making a judgement to have to be assured it is a fact?

Dare I suggest as I don’t know this as fact but you don’t do much do you?

Is Pakistan in your best assumptions known for its tolerance of others faiths?
Do you need total fact or merely some evidence to have a view?

Yes Barry it would(not all Muslim nations, but the same can certainly be said about Christian nations).

More homework needed. Come back next week.

P.S Your view is distorted, as you proved when you begrudgingly revealed the kind of people you follow(idiots that have no experience of things they blather on about).

What Christians nations are as intolerant?

This’ll be good.

A batman Kapow for you and a judo chop for SOG.

Back to school fella’s.

Have a look where you live. That’s a good place to start, if you can open your eyes to the reality of what is happening(i doubt this is possible for you). America is the obvious place if you can’t admit what is happening around you(have a look at some of the things their leader has said and attempted to do). How are Arab that are born in Israel treated. Do they get full rights, just like a jew?

Before you come back and mention laws, learn about the laws in all the countries you demonise(don’t be selective. You have no right, as you always lump them together).

No comment about your rather unsavoury friends i see?

Still an ultra right wing Marxist/leninist/socialist/anarchist? That’s just fucked up in the head.

Off drinking now, have fun. Go and experience these countries(not some tourist resort full of westerners and people willing to tell you anything you want them to say), then come back with some real knowledge about these countries. It’ll open your eyes, i promise.

On the juice again, or 12 years old?

Laws mean nothing if they aren’t enacted, there is religious freedoms and rights in Pakistan but do you think they’re adhered to?

Ultra right wing?

You compare the US to Saudi and Pakistan for religious intolerance?

What has Israel’s horrendous treatment of people got to do with other nations treatment of their own populace?
Muddying the waters as usual with deflectors shields fully up.

Christian aid is everywhere and it is more than likely that a Christian has comforted a Muslim in times of grief on many occasions. The simple fact is that you have no idea, but just make your usual wild far flung assumptions about how people relate to each other.
