Social Integration is not happening

I could link the Telegraph if you so wish? The Guardian gives it more ooomph as its a middle class liberal paper, for when the Guardian chatise’s the minorities you listen.

This has no relevance as a reply to my comment @barry-sanchez maybe you meant it for @sadoldgit

You know, liberal fucktards like Bazza make me sick. He’s such a hopeless snowflake.

Bazza, get a grip and toughen up, won’t you?

Fuckin snowflakes weepin’ everywhere, I just feel so guilty all the time, like I want to belong but I may have to risk something…

How do you know when social intergration has worked?

If there are a set of known details for this, we can then define how it has not worked and rectify the deficiency’s.

If not there is no way of ensuring that intergration has occurred or not, so this whole thread becomes moot.

I think the simplest and most effective way is the cricket test.

Maybe a bit of a long read. The view from a refugee about integration. It’s a two way process, if you don’t feel welcomed or supported, receive racist abuse etc. Its going to be pretty hard. Now you can also have your citizenship revoked and belong no where and possibly deported to a place you fled.

See I take that as social intergration happening

He arrived into a shit area

Moved to slightly better area

Got his exams and then got into one of the best schools he could

What is wrong in that scenario?

Quite. And at what level do you need to “integrate.” Have you integrated if you are Indian but eat nothing but curry and dont touch fish and chips? And what about the indigenous population and anti social behaviour? Why are we so concerned as to whether migrants are behaving as we would like them too when there are thousands of inhabitants who clearly do not sign up to our social contract and do what they please. There is a place called Tovil just outside Maidstone, and one street in particular, where you imagine everyone living in that street is known to the police. To put it politely, it is a very dodgy area. Most of the inhabitants are not migrants and many of them seem to do what the fuck they like. I dont know what the opposite of a snowflake is (perhaps a hailstone) but they dont seem remotely bothered about the anti social behaviour of the established populous. Once it is a migrant who transgresses or wants to live his or her life in a certain way that doesnt conform with the norm, it is a major cause of concern. What is it about borders and territory that suddenly makes a human being complelety different to another one? The Eastern Europeans speak a different language but the have the same genetic make up as the rest of us. Muslims dont have two heads and four legs. I hate tribalism as much as you hate liberals Barry. Just because we happened to be born on this piece of rock, why does that mean that someone born on another piece of rock elsewhere can only live in a certain way if they now decided to live on this piece of rock. As long as they live peacefully, what difference does it make if they know the names of the English cricket team or not? You dont seem in the least bothered by the ex pat Brits who descended on Spain and set up their own enclaves, didnt learn the language and carried on their lives as if they were still in Britain. Why then does it bother you so much when others do the same here?

I think i know that road. Parkwood about 2 miles south east was just as bad, if not worse. First time i went there i renamed it Beirut. It looked like a war zone.

Thats lovely but integration also means cultures, cultures that are sexist, racist and homophobic? How do we tackle that?

You are aware this Nation is easily one of the most tolerant and the Eastern Europeans are the least tolerant?

You boys, have you really ever seen modern day deprivation? You’re talking of chavs and little shits, not gangs and absolute areas forgotten about, Maidstone ha ha fucking hell I just shit meself laughing.

How do we tackle it? Be welcoming, make sure they get education system and support when they arrive. In my job I’d also suggest a brief overview of the laws here in their language. Don’t be racist to them, try and make friends with the new people on the road. Show some humanity.

I am aware of tension because some new people didn’t put theverything right rubbish in the correct bin. This was new to them and info was sent in English. Give them a chance.

Second paragraph is quite a statement. Please expand with proper qualified research.

Not enough money for esol lessons

My not socially integrated day , by pap, aged 41 and 11/12ths.

I woke up next to my scouse missus, a product of Scots and Irish immigration, and realised that I’d have to stop at the BP garage on Queens Drive. The Japanese girl that works there was not happy, scuttling off to shout at her Indian co-worker (tbh, I came away with the impression that he was her husband). Bit embarrassing for all that witnessed it, so I jumped into the motor and headed for work.

People cover different shifts, so who I report to operationally changes day to day. Today, I reported to a lovely Indian lady, polite, well mannered, courteous and formidable, and someone with obvious Chinese ancestry, speaking with a Northern brogue. There’s another nice lady that works there that also fits into that bracket. We’ve got Filipino lads in on Tier 2 visas, a few from Poland and a couple from Hungary. They turn up at our end of month drinkathons, quaffing bevvies with the locals.

The company has devoted a prayer room for anyone that needs to practice his or her faith, and many of the Muslim people I work with do just that. During the course of every day, I deal with people from at least ten different countries, sometimes many more.

The twist at the end of course, is that it was a pretty socially integrated day.

Sixth Sense, eat your heart out.

Its not a statement its a fact, look at Hungary and Poland politcal parties for example?

Thats not socially integrated thats a mixed working society which is vastly different isn’t it? Shagging all races and having different kids of different colours, classes and religions is what I refer to, alas religion and culture doesn’t allow for that, thats people from around the globe working not neccessarily mixing.

Couldn’t agree more, should be money available for all, start in the inner Cities where people aren’t allowed to be taught English.

Lol. 43 pages of darkness and confusion, and we finally learn that all Barry wanted to see was more interracial porn.
