Social Integration is not happening

Back to the beginning again, a recurring theme with you.

Education and employment. We agree on this, so as i keep asking, why move people to areas that are struggling? Not much incentive to get educated if you see no hope of work and no incentive to integrate when the people blame you for a problem that has been about longer than you have been in the country.

5 o’clock apartheid is meaningless bullocks. People can do as they like if they live within the law. Don’t know if you have looked around lately, but society in general is getting more and more divided. Kids don’t go out and play, adults are poorer and socialise less. Technology encourages people to live insular life’s and we’ve been taught for the last 40 odd years to think only of ourselves.

The problems are manifold, but you only look at one small area. Let’s talk about education and employment, as they are by far the biggest factors. Then all the other problems, before we put the blame anywhere.

Slightly missing the point again Barry.

that is one bad part of many cultures Jewish/Muslim/Arabic /Filipino and who knows how many more. So are you saying these countries have to decide if it is a good or bad bit of the culture and then you will abide by there decision? What if they don’t all agree ? Who decides who gets to vote on whether it is good or bad in the different countries?

So every part of every culture has to be voted good or bad by the originating country of the culture and then it is acceptable ?

Who’s moving who to an area? This is what I don’t understand, what is education attainment level is these areas then? Is it the state or the community itself holding their own people back for cultural reasons?

Educate all women and we’ll have a far better fairer World, some don’t want that, surely you can see that?

On the contrary, my good man. I am a firm believer in the principle that to know a place, you have to work there. Otherwise, you’re just a tourist.

So that applies for people who’ve lived in this Country from birth but never worked through cultural practices holding them back, are they tourists or hostages?

Depends on your definition of work. Some people wouldn’t consider a stay at home parent to be working. My missus did it for years. I wouldn’t call her a tourist or a hostage, but she knows the world a lot better now she’s in work.

We have done this before. You seem to ignore the widespread practice in the US of male circumcision. Not exactly the same I grant you, but it is still a practice carried out mainly without the consent on the genitalia of those who have it. In this country FGM is illiegal. I suspect there could still be some tribes in Borneo who still harvest the heads of their rivals?

Obscure, little relevance and different sex, try again.

You didn’t answer the question and threw in some smoke and mirrors, nice touch but I’m not soft enough to regard that as anywhere near a good answer, you stitched yourself up with your previous statement.

What sex is mentioned in your quote Barry?

And why is male genital mutilation not the same as female genital mutilation?

Surely you are not suggesting we should have different rules for the different sexes?

and you never answered any of my questions about who decides the good and bad bit of everybody’s cultures.

I am suggesting that yes as they are different parts of the body and pose very different dangers.

FGM is very different to Circumcision, are you saying they’re the same?

I am suggesting we have different rules in this instance, equality isn’t fairness, who ever said they were?

I did answer, go and read again, the Country does.

Well as you only mentioned genital mutilation not specifically female who is to know and you did not answer the the questions plural about which countries and who in those countries decide what is the good and bad bits of the culture and if the culture is spread over more than one country what then?

Because in the Western World circumcision isn’t known really by anything else, female circumcision is, FGM.

The Countries representatives decide ie mp’s.

Give an example and I’ll answer?

Jewish culture then Who decides what is good or bad which country to start with and what about the Jews that don’t live in your nominated country what say do they have in there culture?

So if cutting part of somebody’s cock is not genital mutilation I would like to know what it is then ?

And you did not specifically mention FGM you did only state genital mutilation non gender specific.

I happen to think so and agree with you, I also am enlightened enough to know they’re very different things indeed, you’re seeing something as the same as an equality issue, you’re wrong as how can they be when they’re different?

I refer to what genital mutilation is known as and to in the Western World as I am from there, circumcision isn’t known as that is it? You may consider it is but it not a widespread or commonly used term for males.

Hence cultural practices if illegal have to be confronted and not ignored, there should be no gaurantee a culture will be sustained in another host Country if that culture is wrong or incompatible with said Country, seems perfectly fair to me.

No Barry genital mutilation is the same whether it is male or female unless done for medical reasons as circumcision is sometimes done.

How can you harp on about equality all the time and as soon as 1 rule should be applied to all is suggested you try to change the goalposts and tell us that male and females are different so different rules should apply?

That is completely nonsensical it is black or white one or the other you cannot have both Barry and which is it you want.?

1 set of rules that apply to everybody and all are equal

or

2 set of rules for each gender / race / caste

Jewry don’t have their own courts either. where do you stand on that?

Who decides if its illegal? In one country it may be in another with the same cultural background it may not be ? Who decides it is wrong the host country or the country the culture came from?
