8 measly words. Where are the other 9992.
Have you really made no claims on this thread?
I would say it comes a close second to arguing.
Isn’t the title of this thread a claim?
Come on @barry-sanchez Don’t bail out just as we’re getting to the heart of the issue.
Why has the system deliberately caused and encouraged these problems and continues to do so and what should we be doing to change it? Pick one of the places you mention up north and ask yourself why, just as that town/city has lost thousands of jobs and is economically on it’s knees do they move more and more refugees in when there are other areas that could easily take the burden.
Without answering that, you can’t point the finger at any cultural/religious/social group.
This issue started in the 60’s not the last 10 years, Burnley, Bradford, Dewsbury, Preston, people went there as there were jobs, you’re a bit behind the times, there has been division for 40 years mate.
Surely that is happening though. Take homophobia for example. It is constantly challenged across all cultures, religious groups etc. You make it sound like certain religious groups have been exempt from this process?
Religious groups have been exempt or largely been put away from scrutiny due to a political correctness fear, thats exactly what I am saying, also cultural sensitivities makes allowances for this as well.
What has people going were there are jobs got to do with it. Why don’t you want to discuss the issue?
Also if there have been divisions for 40 years, that would debunk your claim(that word again) that other cultures have successfully integrated but Muslims can’t, or are you saying that other cultures have integrated and moved on, which would reinforce my earlier post about economics, whilst conveniently bringing us back to the issue of where they choose to put people and why.
Saint you don’t ask any questions and then always come back with the passive aggressive I don’t want to discuss, there have been divisions for years but they’ve been forgotten about or left, do you disagree with that?
Why would you say its solely economics when it could be cultural/religious? I’ll add people went to the mill towns as there was work, they weren’t placed there they went there of their own accord, lets get that right straight away.
I dont think that is right. People are charged with murder when they undertake so called “Honour killings.” Clergy are prosecuted for kiddy fiddling (when it is not being covered up by the church). Where there is evidence, charges are brought. Unless you are talking about the 70s when white anglo saxon Christian men seem to get away with assaulting women on a daily basis. I think you let your irrational hatred of a “liberal” mindset get in the way of the true situation.
What do you think of Sharia courts then? Rotherham was proven to have been covered up and many others, the same as the Catholic abuse, the same as the deportation of children in the 40/70’s to reaches of the Empire.
It is right, religious groups have been getting away with it for years.
There have been divisions, but as you yourself pointed out, over time people do intergrate(not all admittedly).
Economics is the big difference now. As you say, people followed the work before(economically normal) . Why are they now being heavily placed in areas that have no work(economic madness, unless there is another motive)?
All this does is create an atmosphere of division in areas that are already struggling, because people are looking for something to blame and blaming the other is always the easiest option. The problems of the North have been wholly created by government.
Move them all to London/ The Cotswolds. Plenty of very nice empty properties with well funded services. Then the areas that are struggling can stop blaming foreigners when their life’s are still shit and turn their anger on their real enemies.
Rampant Capitalism: Proudly Fucking up people’s life’s for 40 years. But still they vote for it. Now that’s mental. Fear, such a great tool and so easily deployed.
Do Sharia courts overide our law and order system? Lots of groups have been involved in cover ups over the years, not just religious groups. A cover up is a cover up - religion may or may not be involved. Unlawfulness is unlawfulness, it has nothing to do with religions (although some people use religious doctrine as an “excuse,” you will find that doesnt wash in our legal system).
Getting back to Slough and integration, I still havent seen the programme yet but am curious about the sample size of people who say that immigration isnt working there. Apparently the population in 2011 was over 140k. Did they carry out a survey or just go and speak to a few random people?
Its education, after this job in my humble opinion, if you’re educated then you’ll less likely to be a homophobe, racist, sexist or general arsehole.
I’d watch the program then, if you doubt the numbers why would you believe the proud British Muslim one?
Education is essential, but most are adults and need work, which naturally forces integration. Kids in schools don’t need to be told to mix. They’re generally not prejudiced. The biggest arse holes are always educated, if only because they don’t have the excuse of ignorance.
How about it @barry-sanchez move them all down south and see if life up north improves. Wonder we’re the finger will be pointed then.
Work doesn’t force integration if forces people to work together not live, love or be together, ever heard of 5 o’clock apartheid?
And guess what happens when people work together. Go back to my original post.
Who decides what is the good and bad part of the cultures?
Therein lies the crux of the whole problem.

The Country where the problem lies, genital mutilation is a cultural practice not compatable with any society let alone the host Western democratic Country surely?
Yes 5 o’clock apartheid, separate lives.
