Now that the dust has settled on the Baz ban, how is everyone feeling about it?

As stated, I really didn’t want Sotonians to have to ban anyone (mostly for reasons of self-preservation, ha!) and that was one of the most horrible days I’ve had…

… but, people are talking again, we’ve seen some recurring posters become regular posters again. I hate to say it, because it looks like I’m kicking him again, but it has been a much more pleasant place to post.

It is a shame that there was no other option but Barry had many warnings and either would not or could not change with the result this site was becoming toxic. I had had him on ignore for a long time but in the end even that didn’t help. Now the site is a nice place to come visit

I suppose I need to be careful about what I say having recently been likened to Barry in here, but I don’t miss the rants after a defeat. Having heard that he is normal in real life I do feel a bit sorry for him, but he seemed incapable of controlling himself despite being warned a number of times. I hope his is ok. He appeared briefly on the U.I. and I expected him to carry on where he left off on there but that hadn’t been the case. Maybe he has found somewhere else? Where ever he is, I hope he finds an outlet for all of that anger. It isn’t good to bottle it up.

Apart from some stubbornness :wink: there has been actual debate on here of late.
It will take time as we all re-learn how to have civil discussions but this is a better place.
