A few people I follow on Twitter that I like:
I think I follow about 3 people on Instagram - one is my daughter, one my yoga instructor and one is Greg Gilbert of local band The Delays. As you may remember Greg is battling cancer - big time and uses his art as a distraction.
He’s insanely talented - at least to my eye.
You beat me to it. I was also going to share his. We’ve seen a similar style here in Ubud. I may even ask how much the huge piece of art is. Doubt we can afford it but you never know.
I love seeing the works in progress. It’s almost as though they are growing from the page.
That’s insane. Had to upload it.
Look at the reflection in the glass she’s holding.
And all done with pens. You don’t want to be making any mistakes then.
So I went to Apple on Regents Street Last night as my friend gave a presentation about her work and there was an opportunity to use an Ipad to make some art. As she is an illustrator most of the people were talented artists. Not so much me (I got a B in Art for my drawing, photography and a a bit of sculpture in 1991!). I mainly got the hang of the programme we were using and I can absolutely see why creative people love a mac.
Here’s a bit of the night. This is her stuff.
She has 3 children’s books out if anyone is interested and also illustrated another.
So these were the pieces of work others did. Including mine. We had to illustrate an idiom - have a guess if you want. Two people didn’t follow that but the rest of us did. Some pretty great illustrations and then mine. Oh and one of these was a 9 year old boy who did better than me.
