Joking aside, that does look like a pretty shit school and I wouldn’t blame you in the slightest if you sent your kids private.

People haven’t a clue, we have a good secondary but it oversubscribed by 100’s because of that, people were taking their kids out for lots of reasons, I’d love to see Saint tell them not to, it would be a funny discussion from a certain point of view.
It’s ironic that the majority of this thread is replete with people who claim to be well educated completely failing to read each other’s posts. I’ve enjoyed it, thanks.

I think that’s slighty unfair, given that we’ve already covered so much in this thread.
We now know that my hand grenaded comment about not wanting to send your kids in among the wrong type of kid is totally accurate.
I was expecting that to be utterly refuted. Instead, the independent crowd doubled down and dutifully explained that it was only really kids with learning difficulties they didn’t want their kids co-attending with.
That position was slightly besmirched later on, for sure.
But we’ve definitely answered that question.
I think it’s totally out of order that you’re suggesting I don’t like black people and I think most kids are retarded. And I think you’ll find I have answered your question, if you’d asked it the way I wanted you to.

The real benefit of Fancy School is you can get a posh accent. A posh accent is worth far more than any amount of education imo. There was a kid at our school, thick as shit, but his mum got him elocution lessons. He used to walk around, talking in his posh voice, and we would beat on him. But after school is finished he found that he could just walk into city firms, and pick up job no problem at all. The trick isn’t being intelligence, it’s sounding intelligence.

A shit school with dimishing numbers just like the other one, closed down by the state for failing just like this one is, look up ESLA Garston and Parklands Speke.
Confidence in your kids abilities, you’d take that chance in those schools?
Your a fool stuck to your principles, you really are in fantasy land if you believe hard work and endeavour solely play a part, they also need a chance to learn, these schools aren’t very good at that and that is not the schools fault.

It occurs to me, @barry-sanchez , that white folk that send their kids to mostly white independent schools might be one of the reasons, to use your term, that social integration isn’t happening.
