Talking about ‘Company legislation’ and ‘dividends’ and ‘playing by the rules’, in this day and age is, with respect, a tad naive in the age of Carrillion etc. Just a bit of cursory research will tell anyone that Gao and co are ‘wrong uns’. They have form when it comes to sharp business practices in China. These people don’t play by accepted rules, they have sharp accountants to bypass ‘company legislation’,and the accepted way of doing things in the civilised world. It’s all about the money, and by any standards Gao has hit the jackpot with an immediate return, after buying Carrillo, as a sop to the supporters, From their point of view it is a no brainer, like taking candy from a baby.Does anyone seriously believe that these people have any interest, or even knowledge about football, and what it means to the supporters? Of course they don’t, they are hard nosed businessmen. SFC is just a commodity to them. They are probably already rubbing their hands in anticipation at the parachute payment. The 50 odd million surplus from the VVD sale has probably been invested already to boost their portfolio. It’s all about the money for them, don’t let anybody kid themselves otherwise. Just looking at the fiasco and the abuse of the so called financial fair play rules and the "fit and proper person’ bollocks, should surely disabuse anyone of the notion that football at the top level is somehow a level playing field and above board, and everyone plays by the rules. Not what people want to hear i concede, but that is the way it is in the world as it is today. Silly and terminally naive to pretend otherwise. IMHO.
