:pl: :saints: Saints v Newcastle United :newcastlefc: (Live on :sky_logo:)

Sack him! Nah, let him nose dive us into relegation form. Oh, wait

Villa deafeat Utd. Sweet Jesus

So, we’re still going to be bottom 3 for the WC break. I suppose at least that should force our hand for the January window, get a striker or go down.

Get a new manager or go down i hope you really meant

Never a 4-1 game. Everything they hit went in whereas we missed our usual sitters at crucial times.

There’s no doubt the club fucked up and let Ralph down by not getting a centre forward in the summer. Question is, will we be able to get anybody worthwhile in January especially with us being in the bottom 3? I can’t see it.

To give us the best chance I think a fresh start is needed because Ralph can’t turn this bunch of players around. The same thing is happening over and over and over again. There’s no identity in the way we play anymore. No sustained aggression or pressing and we can’t break down teams who sit deep.

Very frustrating and depressing stuff.

Thought AMN finally looked like he could play football then had to move to RB.

Thought Lavia went through no risk motions but at least moved the ball around.

First time I’ve seen our players arguing amongst themselves - lots of hand waving going on.

This mess is NOT Ralph’s fault but the team today played as they were told, onl Perraud did something unscripted. I can almost imagine Ralph giving him a bollocking for not recycling the ball (which we did oh so slowly)

Moi & Che were Sunday League level misses. Different game, but I feel the bubble may have burst today

Newcastle let us play by and large, which gave the impression we werent doing too badly… We attack with such little pace that invariably we end up wide and let them get 7/8 behind the ball easily. They know if we cross there’s a) no one there and b) they’re short arse little cunts anyway v big fucking defenders, so theres little chance of a goal SA was our only real threat 1st half, getting in behind their defence, which was the only way to upset them. Yet he goes off after Moi fucked up his peach of a cross. 2nd half, Howe played us like a fiddle. Wood causes the CB’s to stay back as JWP wanders around aimlessly, unable to create anything as he has no real threat. They score and win the game, we continue to do the same thing hoping it will pay off. Turns into a training game. Buying a striker in the summer would have zero effect unless it was a big fucking lump who can push a defender out the way and head a ball. We play absolutely fuck all through the middle and it shows how 2 dimensional RH game plans are. Need a change and someone who can tighten up a defence. Defo going down if he stays.

Seems I made the right choice by not watching.

Saw the Chelski v Arse in YongAdult#1’s local (very Chelski crowd) while having Sunday lunch. Nice to see them lose too.

With comments like these it’s certain a change is needed. He has lost his way and run out of ideas.

Not really, though I’m convinced he’s off as soon as the international break arrives. The bottom line is that we’ve been making chances, good ones, but we simply don’t have the quality up front to put them away. That isn’t Ralph’s fault, it’s down to recruitment. Look at today, Perraud should have been equalising, not putting away a consolation. Easily the biggest difference between the teams today was the finishing at either end.

We had something like 15 shots, 7 on target, no goals. They had 7, 4, 4 goals

Dan is usually reliable. The club may have finally rin out of patience. And although I e always been a great fan, I think Ralph has lost his way, too obsessed with “automations”

And he’ll no doubt walk away with a fair bit of compo.

If he does get sacked it will be because of his/the clubs failure to secure a striker since Danny Ings left. It is not as though the signs have not been there since this happened and the failure to replace him will be his downfall. Now we’re his hands tied or did he not bring enough to the table for a replacement. I would suggest that the club need to take a long hard look at themselves, but of course the manager will take the blame. I believe the reason for many scouts leaving will be that they have been ignored with their transfer targets.

The team are still playing for him and listen to ever word when called to the sideline. I do not believe any rumours that say he has lost the dressing room, that is tosh. Also the stats are always the same, if you look today it is a lack of striker the chances at important times in the game that were wasted is unreal.

I feel sorry for Ralph if this is the true. He has done well with his hands tied, we play good football and try and play the right way, when we can all see we are lacking a quality striker. I cannot see anyone else doing a better job than Ralph without getting a sticker. .

I truly do not think a new manager will keep us up, but the signing of a new quality striker will.
