What good will that do if they’re not the standard required?

Just needed the benny hill music at the end there. Battered them in the second half. Wrong line up from the start for me. Still Barry will be happy as he has something to inanely whine about. Upwards and onwards.

Did we? For our fucking defending we did in the 1st half it was pure comedy I’ll give you that!

Yes we did. We battered them in the second half.

So you think a manager should just buy players and then not bother trying to improve, motivate, encourage them, especially after a poor performance? You don’t have a clue, as usual.

Sucked in the first half - Danso looked like he picked up a knock early on and was off the pace. Even so he should never play full back again.

Second half we were ace, should have won if JWP radar was properly calibrated.

Romeu was great. Boufal looks a proper handful.

Motivate what? Shit? We’ve bought shit.

That’s handy, we lost the 1st half drew the second and lost the game 1-3…

Battered them and lost, what a comfort blanket that is nuance as I was saying, we lost and we were the poorer side, that’s it.

Answer the question.

I was puzzled by our line-up to start with - three central defenders, one of whom played at right back and a right back playing at left back. Been commented on by others no doubt, but I haven’t read back through the thread. Odd, and makes you wonder if Bertrand has an injury and can’t be risked for a full game.

But whatever Ralph’s thinking was here, it didn’t work. Danso looked like a fish out of water at right back, and offered no threat going forward. The latter in particular surprised me, as I’d expected him to be more mobile and bring the ball out of defence - something that he failed to do. Two goals, one correctly ruled out for offside, came down our right flank; though the second of those came when Bednarek was playing at right back. The first was down to shocking marking at a corner; the third was just a comedy special that it’s pointless to analyse.

In between the first-half goals we looked good on the ball; in the second half, following the introduction of Bertrand for Danso, we looked a different team. Far better than Bournemouth for starters. For a neutral that second half would have been great to watch, but that’s no consolation to a Saints supporter.

But, while we outplayed them massively in the second half, and created plenty of chances, it did seem to me that we created few if any really strong, clear-cut chances. We had any number of shots from distance and caused a few panics among the Bournemouth defenders, but I can’t recall any occasion (other than the penalty of course) where it looked as if a goal was a near certainty. Things to work on there, undoubtedly.

Excellent performances from Bednarek, Romeu, Boufal, Redmond and Adams, but Cedric was the outstanding player for me. Played really well in the first half in spite of being out of position; was brilliant in the second.

With the addition of Bednarek being awesome, Cedric being an excellent left and right back, Boufal giving everything and Adams chasing everything down This.

Yep. Simon nails it. But he forgot to say we are weak and shit and bullied and brexit.

That result, formation and the way we played was down to the manager, that shit in the 1st 45 was on him, if we lose to them down the road he’s toast in my eyes.
We shouldn’t have performances like that at home (we’ve been shit at home now for 3 managers and its the wank atmosphere also) and if the players are aren’t up for Tuesday they can fucking stay on Portsea Island.

You said you would be happy if we lost, as long as we win on Tues. That did not last long.

This will be forgotten if we win on Tuesday, no change there, if we lose both? He’s toast in MY eyes, losing at home in that manner after changing the side for what reasons? And then losing a derby to a team 2 divisions below when they’re struggling and also they beat us 1-4 when the situation was reversed.

No excuses come Tuesday night, not fucking one.

I guess we needed our 21 year old winger to unlock defences…Confident of our points tally?
