No threats to the press would be needed. If he trots that same statement at every pre-match on the subject theyāll soon get tired of digging for something to hang on him.
I think we need to dig in and resist any attempt to get rid of Tonda from the FA. At first I didnāt think he had a chance of avoiding the axe but the longer it goes on his chances get betterā¦I hope.

On the bullying subject, all Iāve read is a member of staff felt they were under pressure to carry out things they didnāt want to do.

There is no real excuse for being ābulliedā at work any more given that the HR routes are there to support any victims and even if the club HR was reluctant, the law is on the side if anyone who feels threatened in their roleā¦ after the fact statements that you felt you had no choice is naive and should no longer be a valid defence for your one actions - its one of the KEY core Elements of HR onboarding bow important it is to come forward at the time, not later when āfound outā¦ā yet this is still likely to fuck things for Tonda
Obviously the key is whether the players and coaching team still have a strong enough relationship to build on what the last 20 odd games have deliveredā¦ that is want they need to be reminded of, That is what they are capable of. The misdemeanours from Tonda were minor, and easily rectified through a training programme. In my world that would consist of a 15 minute bollocking on why you canāt send nippers to look at other teams and sharpen up on how you talk to those nippers. End of. Now fuck off and take the team up next season.
But the effect of the misdemeanours were catastrophic, hence the initial outrage at him. This FA investigation is a load of old shit. I suspect theyāll draw it out to teach the club a lesson. And while that is going on, itās fair to assume Tonda would be distracted or at least compromised in performance. Tough choice for the club.
