Saints at home midweek, maybe there'll be some interesting possibilities

Maybe I was wrong, pure comedy gold right there in that prediction…

Considering how the game is a matter of hours away, how is this thread not even on the first page of topics? Shame on you Sotonians!

I suspect another draw is in the offing unless we decide to score on more than one occasion. Our play of late has deserved more points than we have taken so we could really do with a win here as we have some fairly ugly games coming up over Christmas. It is also getting a bit emotional in the bottom half of the league so we could do with switching focus to the teams above us rather than below us, sooner rather than later.

That said, even under Claude they are a decent counter attacking side who could hurt us on the break. I cannot see them playing any other way.

This place falls apart when Barrys not around to draw fire from the rest of the membership… it’s oh so quiet… ssshhh, ssshhh…

I think tonight’s game will be a draw too, unless Claude desperately wants to prove a point and decides to throw caution to the wind… but I doubt it.

Fuck off rain

I have a spare ticket going if anyone wants to go.

Gratis. Socialist, init.

Taking a leaf out of our game book down here, while you won’ have babes walking off a beach to watch if the game is shit, from about half time you could pretend you are watching goofball and see the Geminids Meteor Shower.

Certainly a more exciting game than anything Puel provided for us after March last year.

Me?

I really need an early night to get the jet lag out of my system before I get jet lag again next week

I reckon it will be a rip-snorting firecracker of a game with both teams giving it their all.

Finishing 1-1

That’s 3 free tickets I could have had for this game, switching to the private sector has ruined my football attendance opportunities with weekend and evening work schedules. That being said at least I have a decent alibi now.

Do you find that often works ?

Think this will be a tough game, leicester are scoring plenty at the moment and we look decidely dodgy when being counter attacked at pace. I will accept a draw but sadly Puel just might come back to haunt us.

Heart says 2-1 Saints

Acca says 1-1

Head says 2-1 leicester

Austin starts again. That’s a bit of a worry(history of injury/lack of faith in other forwards). I will still be putting my money on him for first goal, but don’t expect him to play more than 60 minutes. Gabbiadini to replace him at half time and wrap up our convincing 3-0 win(Fraser deserves a clean sheet). Boufal wonder second goal, just to lift the fans and remind the world of his massive potential(yes Soffiane, you are not the finished article. Please remember this).

An after thought, as i am feeling positive. Højbjerg to come on, make another wonder tackle in the box and break Vardys ankle(clean tackle, clean break. No fault on Højbjerg). Talking about Højbjerg, is everyone else seeing a much leaner, faster player since he came back from being away for his kids birth. The Squad is starting to look strong i think.

Højbjerg not even on the bench apparently.

fuck it

Welcome back btw. It’s been strangely quiet without you…

I saw your name and was expecting “fucking load of wank this”

Heres the team any way

  • F. Forster

  • 2 C. Soares

  • 14 O. Romeu

  • 18 M. Lemina
