đŸ‡·đŸ‡ș Russia

Had it all? What did it have? The population was looking to the west and the Russian puppet wanted to owned by Putin, you have to accept democracy.
If there are elections open and honest in the eastern part of Ukraine and they vote to become republics so be it, but you know as well as I do Putin doesn’t want that, he doesn’t even think Ukraine is a Country, he wants to subsume it.
A fascist if ever there was one.

That is not true, a revolution by the very name means drastic change ie constitutional change, change to monarchy.

Coup means to change leaders by a few powerful people.

Revolution usually contains popular support amongst the masses.

In simple terms a revolution is driven by the people, a coup is driven by the establishment.

He also mentioned the Crimea War, not particularly helpful, that said the Russians couldn’t give a toss what we do, think or sanction.

That wasn’t my point tbh / more to highlight what a bunch of idiots the electorate voted to power. The UK gets what it deserves I guess.

Indeed but we did elect them, or some did, Ukraine won’t be allowed that soon remember.

How do you know so much about Putin .Barry? What book should I read in order to become as knowledgeable as you?

That excuses Russia actions does it? Pathetic.

There were referendums in 2014 to become independent countries.

So be it?

Putin doesn’t want eastern Ukraine, the experts today (people who know far more than you and I) said as he doesn’t see it as a nation he’ll want to go in under the pretext of saving ethnic Russians, anyway I take that question as a form of acknowledgement that you’re now on the backfoot on his aggression.
Do you think he’ll fully invade Ukraine and at what point will you think you’re were totally wrong about him? What is the line in the sand?
Another holodomor?

Are you genuinely serious?

Are you quoting a referendum after Russian mercenaries went in?

Who recognises that vote?

What international organisation?

Pap even for you this is poor.

Must do better.

One thing I have noticed sadly from this thread is few comment upon the plight of the Ukrainians.

Its Russia this and West that.

What about the people it will affect the most by an absolute huge margin?

What do they think, what are they doing? Imagine it was you and your family.

I’m asking because you write about him in such a way that suggests that you are initimately familiar with his thoughts and motivations. I’d like to understand where you get the confidence from to make such proclamations about him.

You asked for referenda.

“Honest and open”, you demand.

Is that a reasonable demand? It seems coloured by an irrational and sometimes, quite hysterical religious belief that everything Russia does must be wrong.

What standard of referendum would you demand? And do you think, that in regions of mostly Russian speaking people, in the immediate aftermath of a nationalist coup, that it would have been any different under your proposed system?

I think that on several fronts, you and your twin brother have been trading on extremes. I don’t blame you. You’re simply shitting out what you’ve been fed.

But all the best outcomes in this crisis involve Russia’s co-operation and assimilation into the world order as a big player. US policy in the years immediately after the end of communism made someone like Putin inevitable and made the public sufferance of someone like Putin inevitable.

Well I use common sense and the things that I read and see, anyway this isn’t about me, this is about Putin’s aggression, his stance is incredibly aggressive, invading, tanks on borders, recognising breakaway states etc etc
That isn’t opinion is it they’re facts.

Why has the care to comment on Russian aggression thread been closed down?

Is he invading? Or are tanks one the borders.

Pick one.

I will give you this. He did recognise those states. Eight years after they declared themselves independent. That’s Blitzkrieg, that is *.

* It’s not.

One that is recognised internationally by Governments would be a start Pap.

No I can agree with you there on co-operation.

As long as it doesn’t mean we sell Ukraine down the river, they remain in charge of their destiny and they can vote freely on it.

The west and Russia can leave them be.

So you’re saying Russia is effectively Germany after the Versailles agreement?

Because of the other Barry as I recall.

Convenient he’s recognised them now isn’t it?
He isn’t bothered by them in anyway, he wants Ukraine, this is his vehicle to get to that point.
