While the rest of us are getting very excited I notice that Claude, who let the mask slip when we scored, dodged the dressing room photos and disappeared.
He made it quite clear that getting to Wembley isn’t enough for him.
So when you are buzzing around today on Cloud Nine feeling smug and warm inside, spare a thought for the quiet Frenchman who doesn’t have time to celebrate.
Between other game strategies, geeky, thoughtful, much-maligned Claude is busy - quietly plotting the tactical downfall of potential finalists Man United…
We havent done badly for a club with no ambition, a crap manager and inbred players! I am particularly chuffed for Claude though. He goes about his job in a quite and dignified way no matter what happens and if he can mastermind a win at Wembley, and there is no reason why we cant beat United (or Hull), he will rightly become a Saints legend in less than one season - no mean feat. Given time to build his own team I think we will see even more from this guy. His handling of the youth team additions has also been excellent. Onwards and upwards!
he’s got a funny face. His nose is weird. Or is it his brow? He’s like a small, white Whorf(or whatever his name is) from star trek enterprise (or whatever it was called)
If u have a fault, sadoldgit, it’s that ur not v.quick to detect when other ppl is being irony, and sometimes you miss the subtexts and things. I have notice this before.
Yeah but Bear, you could make the perfectly valid argument that if you were a particularly loyal Puel supporter (like his mum) that Bazza, by trying to turn it into a joke (and therefore getting lots of upvotes) is getting himself off the hook for previous mean behaviour, and therefore deserves a downvote
I wouldn’t go along with that argument, but it is valid in a court of law.
