Sorry would also add people shouldn’t get hung up on the weight that they get but it is more about he composition.

The key thing is to retain muscle (would suggest 1-1.5 grams of protein per pound body weight to help retain muscle mass) and reduce fat thourgh maintable cal deficit.

If you burn up muscle it will reduce your base metabolic rate, muscles cost a lot of cals to maintain and the more muscle you have the more cals you will burn when your not training.

Anyway I am well interested in all this stuff so will post any useful things relevant for wider consumption.

hahahahaha no my interest is long held, just needed a new goal to strive for after joining the chubb club over the last 3 months of slackness/travelling/drinking/being cool.

As I’ve mentioned, use the Sufferfeast videos to workout to. They made me work so hard before that I’ve had to get my Mrs to unclip me and help me off the bike. I’ve a few downloaded that I can pop into a dropbox.

Cheers, but not quite ready for that yet. I keep getting flashbacks to last May; the pain of being 15Km up Tourmalet with 3 to go… and it getting fucking cold… having lost the will to live… lost huge amount of fitness over summer and with broken ribs…so easing back in gently :lou_surprised:

I made the mistake of tackling it in August. It was so hot I thought I was just going to keel over and die. I’ll never be a mountain goat, more of a classics rider but doing it that heat was simply insane of me.

More of a Sprinter me… took me 2 hours to get up that bastard 18C at bottome -3C at top and serious wind chill coming down… scariest thing this fat boy has ever done… still 6ft of snow at top and col only just opened… but cafe not open to warm up :lou_surprised:

Workout this morning:

10mins warm up on cross trainer.

4 Rounds - No rest between exercises only at the end.

10 - 16kg KB snatches (5 each arm)

10 - 16kg KB Presses (5 Each arm)

100 - Reps skipping

15 - Press Ups

20 - 24kg KB swings

20 - Sit Ups

5 Burpee’s.

Rest Until HRT Back at 140 Then repeat.

Cardio:

35mins on bike keeping my HRT between 136-140 (as per the maffetone method)

Total Time 1hr

Total Cals - 1023

I have a Hungarian friend who finds it really odd that we in the main have our big meal in the evening. Me on the other hand used to sit and watch him munch through a 3 course meal in the work canteen and think it was very odd. He used to swear by not eating anything after 6pm. I also knew a Belarusian (not sure how f that is the correct spelling) who used to not eat after 5pm!

I do have to say that both my friends are pretty skinny!

Funny you should mention that I am doing the exact same as of yesterday.

Having porridge + protein shake for breakie, then today had fish with a mountain of brocolli with desert for lunch and now have just ate 2 skinless chicken breasts + protein shake for dinner.

Getting thin = incredibly boring food

I have come off the toast wagon already. I had chilli and rice, but only 1 cup of rice and 2 of chilli, still came in for the day at 1,300 of the 1,700 that I am supposed to have.

Think I am going to switch. I am in a strong position as I love nearly all food, so looking to fill up on veg!

I’m having a very successful week so far! Completely following my plan!

Yoghurt for brekkie, lamb burger without the bap + salad for lunch. NO kitkat. NO coke. Trout + broccoli + courgette for dinner + 3 large glasses of Prosecco. And a who can hold a plank the longest competition with my house mate (1:50, but she still beat me).

I’m so on schedule!

Oh shit, except that one Ferrera Roche. Forgot about that. Though it was small so subliminal.
