:southampton: Our fine city and surrounds - photos

Thanks @prickly, pleased you like it.
I have a Sony A7iii with a Sony 24-105mm zoom. I never carry any other equipment but this camera and lens combination. I’ve been through the camera bag full of equipment phase many years ago and in the end just go for convenience. Anything more, for me just gets in the way of taking pictures.

That is a proper piece of kit @lifeintheslowlane . Too often the assumption is that it’s an “app” and all done with smoke and mirrors. do you post more photos online, not stalking - just curious.

Thanks Goatboy, I shall put some music on, make myself a coffee and enjoy a morning browse. Do you have the same username on SS?

I’m assuming it’s best not to click on the link?

Well I’ve been a keen amateur for nearly 50 years so you develop a style over the years for good or ill. My first love is black & white but as my wife prefers my colour pictures I only keep b&w for pictures that are best suited to the medium.
I take pictures every day and post them on FB. If you want the link PM me and I’ll send it.

Bastard. I was stuck to the phone/ computer all day - apart from a couple of wee breaks and to grab a sarnie.

You can really go off some people…

To be fair, I was on the way back from a job in Chichester and had another to look at in Stubbington, so it wasn’t all pleasure and relaxation. Was nice getting the sea air though.

This is a favourite spot for pictures on our daily dog walk. The sun rises in the right quarter and illuminates the scene that draws the eye from wide foreground funnelling the attention to the tall spindly trees at the rear of the open marshy bog. I throw a stick for Ms Slowlane to step into the scene.
