Southampton have won their last two Premier League games, netting four goals in each clash. They’ve not won three in a row since a four-game streak in May 2016, with a victory over Spurs the third win in this run.
Saints have kept only one clean sheet in their last 25 away league games against Spurs (0-0, Jan 2001), with Paul Jones in goal for Saints that day.
Dele Alli has scored three and assisted one more in two Premier League apps versus Southampton.
Manolo Gabbiadini has found the back of the net in each of his last seven competitive appearances, including all four games for Southampton and in the three prior to his move for Italian side Napoli (nine goals in total).
Gabbiadini could become the third player in Premier League history to score in each of his first four appearances in the competition alongside Mick Quinn and Diego Costa.
Saints last scored four goals in three consecutive league games back in December 1980; a run that also included a 4-4 draw against Spurs at White Hart Lane.
Spurs are unbeaten in their first 14 home top-flight league games of a season for the first time since 1964/65.
Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen has created the most goalscoring chances this season (78), with 10 of these assisting goals for the north London club.
Spurs have played 12 games this season in all competitions without Harry Kane – nine of which have come against top-flight opposition. In those nine games, they have managed to score just eight goals and have won just three (W3 D4 L2).
A man has been interviewed under caution as part of an investigation into allegations of historical child abuse at Southampton Football Club.
It comes after the force said last November it had started inquiries into historical abuse in football.
Hampshire police said it is an “active, significant and complex” investigation and encouraged victims to come forward.
Since last year, forces across the country have started investigations into historical abuse in football and hundreds of alleged victims have come forward.

Gareth Southgate sprung several shocks when he named his first England squad since becoming permanent manager, including Jermain Defoe, Jake Livermore and Luke Shaw as well as four uncapped players.
The 26-man group to face Germany and Lithuania includes Southampton pair James Ward-Prowse and Nathan Redmond, both of whom have played for Southgate at under-21 level but have yet to feature for the seniors, along with the uncapped Michael Keane and Michail Antonio.
Marcus Rashford, Phil Jones and Ross Barkley have also earned recalls to the international stage but there is no place for skipper Wayne Rooney, who is currently recovering from a knee problem.
Injuries to Rooney, Daniel Sturridge and Harry Kane have led to Sunderland’s Defoe - last capped in November 2013 - being brought back into the fold at the age of 34 while Rashford, 15 years his junior, has also been named in Southgate’s group rather than the under-21s.
Perhaps the biggest surprise is the presence of West Brom midfielder Livermore given his sole cap came in the summer of 2012. In 2015 Livermore tested positive for cocaine and was cleared to return in September that year less than two weeks after the Football Association took the death of his newborn son as exceptional mitigating circumstances.
