1966, The Beach Boys went to No.1 on the US singles chart with ‘Good Vibrations’, the group’s third US No.1. As a child, his mother told him that dogs could pick up “vibrations” from people, so that the dog would bark at “bad vibrations” Wilson turned this into the general idea for the song.

10/12/77. My Dad took my Mum to the only game she has been to in the 57+ years since I was born.

We lost 1-0 at home to Luton.

Indeed Lets B, that was the day I returned home where my wife had listened to the first 80 mins on the radio.

She greeted me with, why are you looking so miserable, they won didn’t they?..

I think that was the official launch of our relegation and decline, or for those who can only see positives, that was the day we set a course for an eventual meeting with Markus!

You know I remember that 1971 game better than the 2005 one. I must block out painful memories.

Saints 2 Ipswich 0. 5th in the league and it didn’t get any better than that. Well not for another 5 or 6 years.
