No more White Hart Pain, Kane we be Spurred on to something, anything!

We could probably do with someone a little bit more nippy.

The club were at fault, the players and fans possibly more so and the current manager looks clueless at the moment.

Club, players and fans are the only variety in football.

Now onto the second bit of your statement. Sell to buy? Squad size. Did you not even consider that. Only allowed so many and every other senior pro sitting outside the squad will just push Academy players further down the pecking order and you wouldn’t want that would you?

So we sell VVD?

Who do we buy and for how much?

We sell Bertrand for £30 Million?

Who do we buy and for how much?

Where is this money going?

The academy?

Why?

When we don’t play them?

By that is the academy and the “Southampton way” broken, wrong and a waste fo money?

Ponder that, you blaming the fans the most is laughable though so give your head a wobble.

Do you want to play academy players or not?

You have previously stated that you want to buy old players on big contracts that will have no sell on value, but then moan about not playing academy players.

Give your head a wobble, you’re confusing yourself.

Then go back to the question. If you want Academy players to get a chance you can’t keep buying replacements every time you sell. So which do you want?

Nothing better to do over Christmas Barry? As I am currently sitting on a train, neither have I.

Three thing can happen. We can progress but without a Citehesque cash injection we are never going to consistently going to a top 6 club which leaves staying the same or going backwards. To stay the same we need to compete with 14 other similar sized clubs. That means keeping our better players (which we know is very difficult), relying on players to keep fit and keep their form (something that has been a problem over the last two seasons) finding inexpensive gems elsewhere (becoming harder as prices inflate) and bringing through gems from the academy (not a given). So the chances of staying the same each season gets harder. Which leaves going backwards, which is where we currently are and was always likely to happen to a club like us. It may play havoc with your blood pressure but if you can’t handle it the supporting a club like Southampton is probably not for you. Unless of course you are like many over at Fiverweb who get off on shouting at clouds.

You seem to be always asking other fans questions on what to do, where is your evidence, what do you want ect ect

I dont get it???

Are you on the board of SFC searching for answers to justify your Christmas bonus or putting together some test papers for Ralf?

Of course I want academy players to play, why wouldn’t I? I was referring to the policy of buying players and putting them in the shop window, buy known premiership quality players like other sides do and mix it with academy, all players are playing in the shop window as such but how many of our best players have we sold in the last 5 years? It is bound to fail eventually and we are being made to suffer for our success as such so what is the point and goal of the policy?

SOS

Loves asking questions yet rarely has answers himself, he is happy to amble along with whatever shite is dished up and shall say “well its Southampton isn’t it, what do you expect?”

I don’t know, I have a feeling she’s probably got quite big nips.

Nine questions in one post, but it’s me that always asks questions is it?

One at a time Barry.

Pot kettle black Barry. The king of unanswered questions.

And how do you know that we buy players to put them in the shop window? If that was the case why give players 5 year contracts?

The club got slagged for not previously signing players to long contracts, now they get slagged for doing just that.

The club were slagged for selling their best players, now they are being slagged for not selling van Dijk in the summer.

The club were slagged for keeping Eric Black when Puel went. Apparently he wasn’t present at a number of matches before he left so since his influence has gone we have performed worse.

All you ever do is criticise. It is really not difficult to sit back and slag things off. Perhaps you should try a new approach? How about giving us your thoughts on what should be done to turn things around?

When you’ve got Jose Mourinho and Manchester United bemoaning the financial difficulties of ‘competing’ in the Premier League then what hope have we got Barry?

The modern game is a bit of a joke nowadays and unfortunately at the moment we are the brunt of it.

That said, Phil’s post from Paddy Power about Forster being a hologram would have been hilarious if it wasn’t true!

I have, buy players who’ll keep us the League, don’t try to progress up the league as its pie in the sky and if we are unfortunate enough to finish 6/7/8th our players are sold so we’re penalised for our success.

Buy experienced cloggers and also youth and try 100% in the Cups and be HONEST in this approach, the fans wouldn’t mind it as they saw through the champions league bullshit or most did apart from this site, who are we kidding?

And when we get to Europe we’re more arsed about Stoke/Burnley away anyway, thats the club management we’re dealing with here.

You want us to be less ambitious, tell the fans we are aiming for survival and rely on players with no re-sell value?

Absolute fucking genius.

So the Chinese have said something!

We’re less ambitious now but not saying it, how do we approach Cup games? Why do we sell players under contract?

What good would saying: “we are aiming for lower mid table” do? Do you think it would have a good effect on the players? The fans?

You are aware we got to a cup final last season?

We sell players under contract to make money. If we buy a player relatively cheaply, he does well and we sell him for a huge profit is this a bad thing? How cheap are your famous journeymen going to be? Pretty sure their wages will be huge and we will lose money on them. Why would we do that?

Would you keep VVD? How’s that working out?

Very quietly. More of a whisper.
