“Back in the Day” all good Christian’s went on a Pilgrimage to Calvary & The Holy Lands (just like MOT).
Well, then came those pesky Crusades then Bush & Blair or something, so the locals here built The Sanctuary at Kalwaria so those good Christian’s could do their thing.
To this day, it remains a destination for many and has close links with John Paul II who got his calling here.
On a cold bleak winter day it is quiet so had time to take in the views, wander around and snap away.
Obviously, as it isn’t very busy I did ask the Big Man upstairs that if he had a moment, and a sense of humour, he could help us Saints out this afternoon.
As a result I’m expecting a 9-0 thrashing with Eric being struck by the same lightning bolt up in the Gods that will be heading my way soon.
