I feel like I am being called a zealot due to being a Corbyn supporter. This is unfair as I am against anyone threatening others. Like other hashtags #notinmyname
That’ll be Jess Phillips who also screamed and shouted about sexism when someone set up a petition to get Laura K sacked from the BBC. There were at most, one or two comments out of thousands that could be called sexist. Exception that proves the rule, eh?
It’s also the Jess Phillips that lied about McDonnell missing votes this week, then refused to recant for about 24 hours.
I said earlier that I was unsure about Jess Phillips. That’s no longer true.
He only stood for Labour leader as a last resort. He was nominated as the token left wing alternative guy, only after Diane Abbott said “I did it last time etc.” And with all the cynicism he’s now the new best thing. He’s not. He’s tired.
Of course he’s tired. It can’t be very pleasant being on the receiving end of the David Kelly treatment. Anyone doubting this should remember the treatment he received, and compare and contrast with the treatment Corbyn is receiving. From the very same people. Continuous character assassination and dirty tricks. This ‘coup’ has been planned for weeks. The Telegraph exposed this three weeks ago, even down to the co-ordinated resignations, every hour on the hour, to maximiize damage by catching the rolling hourly news headlines. Alastair Campbell is still doing his master’s bidding. Hard at it this week, using senior members of their PR company to plant hecklers, like the guy who filmed himself heckling Corbyn at the Pride rally, then sent the clip to all of the MSM, including the BBC, who all showed the clip and seized upon it as some kind of evidence that Corbyn was losing some of his support. If you or I filmed ourselves heckling Corbyn, then sent it to the BBC, Guardian et al does anyone believe they would all show it within the hour? Of course not. It turns out that the heckler was a Tom Mauchline, who just happens to be a professional PR man, who just happens to be a senior manager for the Blair/ Campbell PR firm Portland communications. The vast majority of the 170 odd MPs supporting the no confidence motion voted for the war in Iraq. Every one of them refused to vote against the Tory welfare bill cutting support to the poorest in society. Don’t forget Blair, Campbell and Co know whats in the Chilcott Report, they were sent copies prior to publication, inviting thier comments! Events of the past few days would indicate that they are clearly shitting themselves, and so are their fellow travellers in the Parliamentary Party. Their worst nightmare is that when the Chilcott report is published and debated in Parliament Jeremy Corbyn will get to his feet as the official leader of the opposition. That is what is driving this ‘coup’. When i read posts saying stuff like,"Ilike Corbyn, but…, which then go on to peddle the tired old Sun/Mail crap, unelectable, supporters are all “zealots”, he’s not “credible” etc etc, i just can’t believe how gullible people are. Allowing themselves to be taken in and used so easily by Blair/Campbell and co, it must seem like taking candy off a baby to them. Blair, Campbell, Mandelson and co have until July 6th, the date of the Chilcott publication, to get rid of Jeremy Corbyn, and the closer that date gets the more desperate they will become. I just hope that Corbyn can find the inner strength to stand firm and resist them in the face of their onslaughts. Probably not a wise move for him to be taking any lone walks in the woods though.
Typical kneejerk response, posted pretty much immediately after mine so you clearly didn’t read and digest the links i provided. So you think it is just pure coincidence that the Corbyn heckler happened to be senior manager of the Campbell PR firm? It was just a coincidence that Anna Phillips, a full time employee of Blair’s pressure group Progress, and Lewis Parker, a professional ‘creative strategist and social media guru’!, just happened to be passing and noticed the old guy in the t-shirt? Look at the picture, it is a new t-shirt, the picture has obviously been photoshopped. How about the Telegraph article which predicted this ‘coup’, right down to the finer details of rolling resignations? Did they just get lucky with a stab in the dark? It has since emerged that these resignations were co-ordinated and choreographed by a Blairite loyalist MP, from Corbyn’s whips office. What a betrayal. Ringing round the resignees, giving them their slots to resign and post their letters on social media. All the letters pretty much saying the same thing, the same phrases etc. It is obvious that these resignation letters were dictated to them in a co-ordinated way. Yet you choose to dismiss all of this as paranoid nonsense. The phrase, ‘useful idiot’ comes to mind. That wasn’t you in the t-shirt was it?
You’ll prob have to use smaller words, or at least smaller ideas, cos i can’t quite get head round it either, or at least, stop thinking that it’s equally possible that all this trouble is just cos all the bros who have actually met Corbyn, i.e. MPs etc, think he’s a Twat.
(corbyn said) “Our Jewish friends are no more responsible for the actions of Israel or the Netanyahu government than our Muslim friends are for those various self-styled Islamic States or organisations.”
Sam Stopp, a Labour councillor in Brent, north-west London, tweeted: “@jeremycorbyn has compared Israel to ISIS today. For that alone, he should resign. I am red with fury #Corbyn”
As a leftie let’s hope the tories are stupid enough to vote Gove in as May is a formidable woman and will take some beating. I feel dirty for this, but I actually admire her for the Hillsborough stuff.
The Guardian are running the Corbyn compares Israel/ISIS at the moment. That’s desperate even by their standards. Clearly a non-story but if, as it seems, this was a prepared speech Corbyn should have known better:
So the Eagle is not landing today then, despite yesterdays announcement that she would be, stating that she wants to give Jeremy time to “do the right thing”. These plotters have absolutely no principles whatsoever. When Angela Eagle resigned, crying her crocodile tears, she gave her reason as, ‘the sacking of Hilary Benn’. A couple of days ago she announced that after much soul searching she had now decided to stand for the leadership. Oh what a tangled web we weave etc etc. She is no more than a puppet, having her strings pulled by the Blairite cabal who have organized and choreographed this ‘coup’. She is quite prepared to tell bare faced lies on their behalf. Today it emerges that a website, angela4leader.org was set up by a ‘Special advisor for policy and communications’ in the Blair government two days BEFORE she resigned, indeed before Benn was dismissed,(in reality of course he dismissed himself). Angela is playing above her league with these treacherous bastards i’m afraid. They will try every trick in the book to get rid of Corbyn before Chilcott except the democratic way. Follow the party rules, put up a candidate against him and put it to the vote. Expect more increasingly hysterical attempts to undermine Corbyn in the days to come, he is an ‘anti semite’, ‘heading for a breakdown’, a threat to national security etc etc. Fingers crossed he will be strong enough to withstand all this. Thankfully the evidence so far would suggest that far from being “weak”, which is the constant refrain by the plotters, the opposite is actually the case. He has shown he has balls of titanium, refusing to bow down to this organized bullying and character assasination,(yes i know Ted, paranoid nonsense). . Sadly i doubt if Angela Eagle will recover from this, which is a shame really as i think she is basically a decent person and by all accounts a diligent MP for her constituents. What a pity she allowed her ego to be stroked and was led astray by people who are in a league of their own when it comes to practising the dark arts of political manipulations.
