:labour: New Old Labour in trouble

Is it OK to call Tony Blair a tory?

Watson out.

I did post that 3 hours ago. Oh hum.

Ian Austin is a twat.

Yeah, his little tirades against Corbyn are widely shared among Tories.

That he might be - but his comments will land with some swing voters

Ian Austin is bought and paid for by the State of Israel. After resigning from the Labour Party he was appointed by Theresa May as the Prime Minister’s trade envoy to Israel. He is a Tory. And an extremely nasty one, even by their standards.

Wow Ian Austin really is going for it.

Just pretty much defended Boris’ letterbox comments. ffs.

All coordinated. He’s apparently been on all the channels and radio, whilst a slew of papers/talk radio have been reliving the as bollocks in the hope there are still people thick enough to believe it.

There’s your credible opposition.

Not very credible and not much of an opposition. Labour are fucked.

Fuck me he is dull… and so far up Tory arse its tragic… cunt

There have been IMHO 3 labour tragedies in the recent past…

  1. John Smith’s sad early death resulting in a further Tory election win… and

  2. Tony Blair who inherited a nation deperate for some relief from 18 years of Toridism (see what I did there) and fucked it up by a) Going into an illegal war and b) becoming a Tory - he had managed to bring most of teh party kicking and screaming into a version of itself that was electable and teh he fucks it up

  3. Corbyn being stabbed in the back by his own party - irrespective of the Breshit, He was and is IMHO teh politician with the most integrity and honesty since said John Smith… and had we a younger electorate he would have won, as teh young were pretty much in favour oaf all he stood for including the second vote…

4… and Labour have This prick as leader… another fucking tragedy as no chance he would get my vote…

It’s all depressing beyond belief.

I have been studying various power-grabs, revolutions and coups recently. This is not healthy.

When you get to this point though, you really can see how people picked radical alternatives in the past.

Never forget that Starmer played Brutus to Corbyn’s Caesar.

“power-grabs, revolutions and coups”?

Bit close to home, isn’t it??:smile::smile:

I wouldn’t know anything about that.

Most of the revolutions tend to involve paramilitaries and militias, and given that our generation’s self-declared left are mostly fighting for good soy milk and an end to deadnaming, I don’t think the authorities need be too worried.

If ever a post deserved a  this is it. :+1::+1::smile:

Without wanting to get bullied off the site, Starmer has more chance of winning an election for labour than Corbyn ever did and will still be better than any Tory alternative.

Feel free to come at me.

I don’t need to come at you.

Starmer is enough.

He comes with strings, not least of which is his fervent and sometimes rather rabid EU position.

If he convincingly ships that, he may have a chance.

But the public will still have to vote for war, still have to vote for debt, still have to vote for privatised industries.
