We live in a state that has been openly persecuting the disabled(for a decade) and torturing an innocent man(similar timeframe), with supposed social minded people backing the very forces that perpetrate these crimes, but they can’t see the obvious outcome?

I hate to say it, largely because @Barry-Sanchez loves to hear it, but he’s right. Labour’s Brexit position is insulting to much of their heartlands. Their core voters feel like they’ve been abandoned on the Brexit position.
They’re right. They have been. I was watching a report from Barnsley today where Labour voters we on-side with the Prime Minister’s general gait.
Not sure using local council election results is a good way to gauge the mood on Brexit. If that were true, based on the local elections earlier this year the Lib Dems are on for a landslide victory in a GE.
