:labour: New Old Labour in trouble

Fussy fucker.

I guess if she stood on the lawn with a crutch in one hand she would make do as a set of cricket stumps

Hmmm. Where did I put the Duct tape?

This is why its hard to like Labour sometimes.

What Jezza should say… ihmo because I think he must be pretty fucked with is is very simple:

‘‘If you are a racist twat, we will find you and we will make can fuck off out the party’’

‘‘If you, believe the Israeli government is in anyway justified over its human rights abuses towards the Palestinian people, we will make you fuck off out the party’’

I appreciate there are some more subtle nuances, but in general it would cover it…

Wasn’t it that famous “white saviour” Lenny Henry who set up comic relief.

Well, his opinions on this will be “interesting”

Very difficult to be neutral I would imagine, and any comment will no doubt be jumped upon

This is an excellent article, that again shows the stupidity of the accusation.

Jeremy Corbyn and anti-semitism before 1st May 2015 = 18 hits
Jeremy Corbyn and anti-semitism after 1May 2015 =11,251
None of the 18 hits accused Corbyn of anti-semitism.

Really worth reading it all.

As posted on the Israel thread, sits just as well here.

Best article I have read on the matter.

Suspended for sharing a news clip?
Wow, but it gets better.

“And this week, the Equality and Human Rights Commission confirmed it was considering launching a formal investigation into anti-Semitism in the Labour party.”

Have they looked at the numbers across political parties? They’re going to be fucking busy enough with the tories(on multiple counts) to even give Labour a second thought, assuming they are not starting from a point of obvious bias.

Jonathan Cook continues to have the best grasp of the situation.

Jess Phillips? I don’t think so. She is despised in the Labour Party, She works as an editor for for ‘House’ magazine, a weekly aimed at MPs, It is owned by Lord Ashcroft, Tory donor and all round right wing shit. Their bumf boasts, "The House is a glossy magazine which specializes in publishing positive profiles of MPs illustrated with attractive, well lit photographs of them. It appeals to advertizers who want to reach them, promising corporations or lobbyists it is “closer than any other political magazine to the most powerful people in UK politics”. Ashcroft is probably better known for writing the book,‘Call Me Dave’, which claimed Cameron had sex with a pig’s head. It was later revealed by the 2017 Paradise Papers that Ashcroft continued to avoid paying tax, despite assurances to the contrary. Lord Ashcroft is the former Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party, which he had to resign from in disgrace when it came to light that he wasn’t paying his taxes. What on earth is Jess,(look at me i’m an MP), Phillips doing taking a reported 300 pounds an hour from this shyster, whilst at the same time claiming she is a working class socialist MP? Laughable! Jess Phillips is the chair of the Women’s PLP, yet she was criticised for missing an important meeting of the Women’s PLP because she was attending what was dubbed the ‘Party of the night’, a private event thrown by Rupert Murdoch at his penthouse apartment. Every other name listed on the guest list, described as a who’s who of parliament’s rising stars is a Tory MP. What on earth was a ‘Labour’ MP doing attending this event? She refused to respond to questions about the appropriateness of a Labour MP attending a party thrown by the owner of publications that routinely attack her party. Jess Phillips gave an interview to the Guardian a week or so ago when she stated quite openly that she would be a better leader of the Labour Party than Jeremy Corbyn. She clearly has delusions of grandeur. But it is clear, given the almost saturation coverage she has been blessed with in the MSM over the past few weeks that she is the chosen one, the choice of the Blairite faction in the Labour Party, and the UK establishment as their candidate to replace Corbyn as the ‘acceptable face’ of Labour. As i said, delusions of grandeur, she has got no chance. Desperate stuff, and the really sad thing is that these ‘power brokers’ are so out of touch that they really can’t see it.

The trouble with that is no matter how worthy the film, the people you want to reach, to make sit up and say, “Hey that’s right, why didn’t I see that” will have sat through the first two minutes and dismissed it as left-wing anti-semitic racism.

What can you do when a right-wing MSM can pump out their proparganda virtually unopposed when it comes to getting their mesage out there.
